Cathedral View Apartments

The location and view of the cathedral were amazing. The apartment was very spacious and well maintained. We loved sitting on the balcony looking at the beautiful cathedral. It is quite noisy but this is to be expected because it is in a busy location. It didn’t affect our stay at all.

The location was the best, about 75 steps up to get to your unit. So think about it if you have any issues with going up 4 story up few times a day.

Recommend this particular home? Two ways to approach this rental… If you’re looking for a Palermo old feeling charm… you have this option to consider.. Unfortunately we booked based on booking.com ad. The property seemed to have good reviews and from past experience renting a home in the building next door. We felt safe and comfortable with our choice.. Now and after the fact We have come to the realization that this was not a good choice for us.. The street entrance from the street was about the same as other surrounding buildings with exception .. We had no idea there was not an elevator for guest.. so for days we walked up 75 steps 5-10 day.. that was a workout. The stairway and building exterior maintenance was depressing ( see photos) (Front exterior façade-looks great) The home even though it was old we expected a more clean and welcome feeling upon arrival.. the Host manager was there upon our arrival and escorted us to our floor. Very nice and helpful After a long days walk to return to a shower assembly that could not mount or keep water from spraying all over the floors - this allowed us to be clean up committee after every shower.. then continuously backed up and slow drained until empty… After a relaxing day .. we were looking forward to A nice bed to watch television… (then we realized there were no televisions) Air conditioning units we felt should be modified to accommodate square feet. Almost impossible to secure the outside doors / windows..there are other areas of contention that just do not meet the value and the home.. important for me to speak out in hopes all these issues can be addressed for future leases.
