Highly recommend

We had a lovely relaxing time at The Potter's Lodge. The place is quiet and private, at night you don't hear a sound. Everything is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. In the kitchen we had everything we needed, shower cubicle was spacious. The decor was beautiful. I liked the little cordless hoover which was very easy to use to keep the place spotless during our 4 days stay. The fact that there is no Wi-Fi is no problem because there are boardgames to keep the whole family entertained at the evenings, we had very special time together. Ruth, the owner is very friendly and she left a chocolate and a bottle of wine on our arrival. Thank you!

Well it took us 3 days to figure out how the induction hob works and the TV wouldn't unmute but it was our fault because we could have asked 😀. My recommendation would be to add pillow protectors. No complaints whatsoever, we would love to come back some day.

A Very Peaceful Place

The Potters Lodge was very open, comfortable with lots of light.

The locations was not very close to any markets or restaurants but we ate when we were in town and brought back scones for breakfast.

Beautiful cottage in the countryside

The cottage was beautiful, set in the countryside, very clean and homely. We happened to be there during really good weather so we made use of the lovely courtyard outside. Our host Ruth was very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

No WiFi, Would have been nice to watch netflix in the evening but me managed fine without it.

Just amazing the perfect stay and a very good price

The location and the ease of access to the property. Everything was super clean everything was there that was needed for a very comfortable stay. The area was super safe to leave our bikes and our hosts were very kind to give us a lift into Carrick on Shannon.

The only thing and this might have been missed by us but there was no WiFi , but again please be aware this could have been us , and we didn't ask as we did have our phones working so not really a issue.

BRILLIANT

Brilliant! Host meet us by the property and explained everything (ie where switches were, where she was if we needed anything) When my partner mentioned his love for golf she was happy to organise someone he could play with. The property far exceeded my expectations, it was a beautiful, private and picturesque property, it felt so homely, even my daughter asked to stay for longer or at least return again. It had all the essentials and more! Thank you so much a wonderful stay despite the weather we had an incredible time.

Great location for exploring the North West. 10 minutes from Carrick On Shannon. Beautiful house, private , with a spacious garden and outside patio. 2 good sized bedrooms, kitchen and living area, and everything was left immaculate for our stay. Ruth our host was very welcoming.

Would have liked a microwave, just because we had a baby with us, but that was a really minor detail.

Fantastic accommodation in a great location

Location was perfect, plenty of space for my young daughter to run around without worrying. Excellent stay. She loved watching the cows outside the window (as did my wife!)

Potters Lodge offers perfect accommodation for 4 people. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's in a nice setting next to a beautiful historic house. We were welcomed by Ruth on arrival and two nice chocolate bars and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We used it as a base to explore Lough Key, Boyle Abbey, Arigna Mines and Carrick on Shannon. A car is essential and a small supply of groceries due to its remote location. We would happily return again ~ Thank you Ruth.

There was nothing I didn't like. There was no WiFi but that didn't bother us as we had our own data for our phones and there were some board games, children's books, magazines and a TV and plenty space outside to kick a ball. My only wish would have been to have a few extra blankets for the beds perhaps as we found the bed clothes a little light for us in the cooler evenings.
