ok for a one night’s stay, if expectations are low

The hotel is very, very clean. The views are nice, probably from every room. All the staff was nice and kind.

While late 80s-early 90s style decoration is not a problem in itself, the smell of stagnant air and mold, old place is overwhelming. In felt like entering in a room whixh hasn’t been aired/used since centuries. We were supposed to have a ‘deluxe’ room. There was no deluxe there. the room was max 12m2, DEFINITELY not 30m2 as indicated while booking. Breakfast was terrible. Being in a valley that produces excellent fresh dairy and being served industrial production butter, artificially flavoured yoghurt and no cheese is like a torture. Everything in plastic wrapped mini doses (also jams and no honey at all - both a produced in Valmalenco/Valtellina too). Croissants were not from yesterday, but from 3 days ago probably. Rubber consistency and taste of old vegetal fat. ham was served on request, but seeing the quality of other breakfast stuff, didn’t even ask. One kind of bread was available, cakes looked old and unappealing too. Such a pity in a country that has among world’s best cuiaines.
