Could be wonderful with a few additions

Bright and airy. Good parking.

Uncomfortable bed. Noisy extra refrigerator disturbed our sleep- there is no need for 2 refrigerators in such a small space. The heating was not on for our arrival so the place was cold and one radiator was full of air so it took all evening to get warm. There is a great hob and oven but minimal cooking utensils- no preparation knives , bread knife, large spoons for stirring etc. No number or name on the gatepost at the bottom of the drive. The bedding was extremely creased and un-ironed. The shower could do with a deep clean. Very little storage for clothes

Very enjoyable

Comfortable and spacious , very close to the town. Very clean and bright with a lovely forest view. Excellent communication from owner on location and information on the property. We both had an excellent sleep and the shower was hot and powerful. Would recommend for anyone staying in Ballycastle.

Convenient base for exploring the Causeway Coast

Small but comfortable apartment with parking. Restaurants and bars in the centre of Ballycastle about five minutes walk away and the beautiful beach about 15 minutes walk. We got our breakfasts at Dolly's cafe, which was excellent - especially the eggs benedict. All in all, a great base for exploring the Causeway Coast.

The only slight negative is that the chalet was hard to find as it is part of another property. Some signage on the gateway or written directions might be helpful.

we had an excellent time sightseeing, enjoying excellent meals and the glorious weather.

the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from shops, bars and great restaurants. The chalet has good views of the forest which is ideal for an lovely walk. their are many attractions and scenic drives not too far away. we visited Carrick a rede bridge, the giants causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce castle, and the lovely harbour at Ballintoy....all well worth visiting. we visited in May and the weather was fantastic no rain and lovely blue skies ideal for taking photos of the great scenery. Ballycastle itself is a great town with lots of outdoor facilities a beautiful harbour and lovely wide clean beaches. The locals were very welcoming as were our hosts at the chalet. We ate out in the evening at the Cellar restaurant and the Anzac and the DIamond bars all of which did excellent meals. we particularly enjoyed the slow braised beef cheek and the pan fried chicken meals we had at the Cellar .

We only had a couple of minor issues with the Chalet. As we were staying for 6 days we found the lack of any drawers or shelves a bit awkward as we had to leave clothes in the suitcase or on the settee. There was a hanging rail which was good but some shelves or drawers would have helped.

I plan to return to Ballycastle and would choose this agreeable accommodation again.

Friendly hosts. Quiet, clean, comfortable, self-contained accommodation with good location - town centre only a few minutes walk away, and beach not far away either.

For me, there were too many sources of light at night, including from the sky-light window, delaying sleep. Cupboard storage was a bit cramped, needing to stack different items (plates, bowls, cups) on top of one another, making their access a bit difficult. One of the small tables was unstable. These things were all tolerable and did not spoil my stay. They are opinions and observations intended more as suggestions to the nice hosts for possible improvement.

Very nice space inside. Large, with some basic facilities. Clean & modern.

I would have liked a small table inside as well (as there is a small kitchen). The chalet is next to a bigger house, a bit strange. There is a little table outside, on the asfalt driveway, so a little (made-up) garden in front would really make this place very nice to stay!

Very cheaply and minimally furnished supposedly self catering but lacking the following No hairdryer, kitchen utensils, carving knife, chopping board, tea&coffee , indoor table and chairs for dining, accessible window, clothes storage , shower mat . Very clean and well thought out use of the space. Excellent quiet location just a short walk from shops bars etc. Hosts left you to it which we really liked after a long journey. Good facilities overall exceptional experience and we'll definitely book again.

Hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The layout and simplicity of the interior was great for a couple of nights when you don’t want to maybe fully unpack but if you were staying for longer would give you the room to settle in abit more, plus the available car parking and easy to get to made for easy coming and goings.

I don’t think the name “forest chalet” is a true representation of what the accommodation is, and it would have been nicer to have some more cooking pots/ pans and utensils.

A Great Studio Apartment

This apartment studio was absolutely perfect for our needs (4 nights) It is situated in a very quiet area( our top priority ) and in a convenient location. Fresh Bed linen and towels are provided, great shower, beautiful room and hot water. There is a fridge, hob, kettle, toaster, cutlery glassware, mugs, plates if required. Television. Our host was super friendly, obliging, very helpful and recommended different restaurants to try and areas to visit. Fortunately the weather was very good during our stay so we spent our days sightseeing and on the beach. We wouldnt hesitate to book this apartment again if visiting Ballycastle with its beautiful scenic routes and an amazing beach at The Portstewart Strand, A Huge Thankyou to our Host Jonathan and family for such a warm welcome and making our stay enjoyable. Wishing you every Blessing for the future.

It was available for the dates we wanted, which weren’t standard weekend or full week. It provided an opportunity to self cater for breakfast and snacks. The heating worked so we were warm enough The shower was good The causeway coast nearby is stunning

The noisy fridge didn’t work so our milk went off. There were no sharp knives, no microwave only one pan and a frying plan.

Perfect 2 nights in the chalet. Flying visit to Ballycastle but the chalet is in a great location to the village. Johnny was extremely helpful and communication was easy and fast .

Wouldn’t go back to this property, didn’t feel like it was value for money

Ballycastle is close to the Causeway Coastal route

On arrival had to ask for pillow cases, towel and tea towel. We said that it looked like the bed hadn’t been changed but Jonathan explained that a new cleaner had prepared the room. We had to kill about 30 wood lice. After telling Jonathan he sealed the door and the next day there was only a couple. Jonathan gave us some wine to apologise. We couldn’t sleep because of the drowning noise from the fridge.

Quicj walk into town

It was very close to town, within walking distance. Lovely and spacious studio with a great shower!

There were some little bugs that kept coming in through the door - might need a bit of a spray.

The set up was nice and cosy but very misleading as it never actually said it was in someone's driveway.
