Excelent!

The Villa is new and well maintained. The room we were, first floor, pool and lake view has super feng shui vibe and we loved the glass ceiling in the shower, the quality, the taste of the interior design and the design of the pool area. The amenities were Italian and we loved the scents. It was a super nice place to rest and enjoy it, with convenient parking just in-front the villa. The only thing i I missed was tinner pillow and maybe a cattle in the room for tea, but I loved the linens and the coffee machine also the fruit musli bars :) The view is breathtaking ofc. It is very calm area, but also the villa has very nice windows so sleeping was perfect, also the temperature of the heating was just perfect. I would personally fix or find better solution for the Japanese closing doors for the toilet, but we didn't mind much cause the toilet was clean and there was no smell leaking the room. All in all 10/10 for Ohrid standards. Compliments! Want to come again :)!!!!

excellent villa

The villa is located high above the lake and the old town. Fantastic location. Stunning view. The room is excellent, the swimming pool is impressive, and there’s no breakfast (at least during our stay—maybe because it was already off-season). Highly, highly recommended.

There’s a tiny sign on a tree, no sign at all on the building itself, and only the neighbors’ help allowed us to find the place.

A high end property, which would suit any special occasion, but relaxed enough for a family trip like ours.

Everything! Beautiful rooms and stunning views. Coffee pods, water and snack bars provided every day. Parking on site. Christian was very welcoming and friendly and able to suggest local restaurants.

My daughter was on the sofa bed that wasn’t very comfortable and she was too long for it (at 5ft 5!) .

Just a wonderful experience

Everything. From the moment we arrived til the moment we left we felt so well taken care of. The room was spotless and bed & pillows very comfortable. The little bar by the pool 1-9pm was fab and the infinity pool with magnificent view over lake Ohrid stunning. It was less than 10 minutes walk to the sea front of the old town.

Well for me with walking disability the walk back all up hill was too difficult but there were loads of taxis so no problem there.

Modern property with comfy bed and great shower. We were on the second floor with a balcony and had stunning views of the lake, lovely pool area.

We didn’t mind the hill as it was worth it for the lake views but could be an issue for some. Very minor but an additional longer length mirror in the bedroom area would be useful and toilet paper restocked more frequently.

Incredible views, incredible location and immaculately clean

Incredible location, as close as it's possible to be to the monasteries over the lake and a short walk to town. The views are incredible, I loved waking up to the sun lit view over the lakeside and the whole place was immaculately clean and very modernly designed. Nice hot shower.

Beautiful Ohrid gem!

Everything was perfect! Fantastic hotel with incredible views! Very pretty grounds, well maintained and clean. Coffee maker in room with pods, breakfast bars, bottled water all included, very nice touches! Staff very friendly, check-in and out very easy. Parking right in front is free.

good solution for the old city

this is in the old city ... the good news is if you have a car, you can drive in, and the hotel has parking. this is a big plus very comfortable, modern room, good wifi. nice looking pool. overlooking the city

just be prepared...there is a lot of walking up hills... the other thing is the bathroom is somewhat open, the owners should put in a door to block off the bathroom area to create more privacy

A little disappointed

Location was good. The bed was comfortable and clean, also towels. Offerings such as coffee, tea and vitamin bars.

The room given to us was not presented in the photos on its page so I was a little surprised at arrival. Even if we arrived at previously specified time (16:00), there was nobody to welcome us and show the room, maybe also to avoid a potential discussion about the room. We spent some time to find the room ourselves also by disturbing others probably. The cleaning of bathroom was not good enough. The door(?) of bathroom was also like the bar doors of western movies, had 0 isolation and fails to close even the angle properly. You hear and feel like together when your partner is in the rest room.

My stay at Villa Fortezza.

Is a beautiful location.The view from the balconies is amazing. The apartment is very modern,hotel boutique style.From the bed you can see the bay of Ohrid which is fantastic.

Is not so easy to reach the location.There are 2 improvised roads to reach the villa very steep and not finished.Is better to have a 4X4car if you want to reach the destination.Also ask for the share location because with the google map you don’t get the shortest route and you will wonder through very narrow streets to get to the address.We arrive very late in the night and it was very difficult to get there.When we arrive we get one apartment on one side and our friends get the room on another side and not exactly what they booked,something somehow similar. The apartment is very modern and it looks spectacular at first sight but we find in both apartments the cleanliness could be better especially in the bathroom area and the couch which was quite dirty ,however the bed sheets and towels where very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom area was separated from the room simbolic with some glass sliding doors and it was quite fancy but there is no privacy in there.My friend find a lot of spiders in the bathroom and I find a small scorpion in my bedroom which was kind of scary.It was impossible to get an extra set of linen for the couch till next day.Be very specific about what you need before you arrive,especially if you are arriving late.The TV should have an extension arm to be able to move them to be more comfortable to watch.If you want to use the lamp you have no place to charge your phone on the bed side if you have Apple. However if I will be back I will not hesitate to rent the same apartment for few days with all the minuses because at the end it is an absolute unique view.

Beautiful place!!

Beautiful place at the top of the old town overlooking the bay. We loved the pool area and the rooms were very modern and comfortable. Highly recommend this place!

A beautiful place to stay if you want to be away from large crowds of tourists. It was quiet and relaxing. And our hostess was the loveliest lady. Catered to all our needs. Can’t recommend this place enough. Looking forward to coming back in the future and staying here again. This location is central and walking distance to many places to see. And the best thing is it’s family friendly.
