Decent stay with a lovely balcony & view, but misleading bathroom details and poorly functioning AC

I really liked the location. The apartment is not in Trieste itself, but in Muggia, a charming nearby coastal town that you can easily explore on foot. It’s also close to the harbour, with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance (though do check supermarket opening times, as they can be a bit unusual). The balcony was definitely the highlight- very spacious with plenty of seating and a spectacular view. The living room was comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with the basic utensils needed for simple meals. That said, the positives were outweighed by some shortcomings, which made the overall experience less enjoyable than expected.

First, the description of the apartment was highly misleading. We booked this apartment for two couples, and one of our key requirements was to have two separate bathrooms. The listing stated that the apartment has three bathrooms, but in reality there is only one full bathroom with a toilet, plus a separate service toilet. This was very inconvenient and not what was promised. Secondly, we stayed during peak summer and air conditioning was an important factor for us. Unfortunately, the AC units in both the bedrooms did not work properly. They frequently sprayed water (or even ice) into the room, waking us up in the middle of the night. One unit also made loud, unusual noises, suggesting that the compressor was damaged. We reported this immediately to the owner, but were told that since it was the weekend, no one could come to repair it. Issues like this should be fixed before guests arrive, not afterwards. Moreover, there was no AC in the living room, which made it almost impossible to spend time there during the day. We had to rely on keeping the balcony doors open for cross ventilation, which was far from comfortable given the summer heat. Considering the price we paid, these issues were unacceptable and left us quite disappointed with our stay.

Very spacious apartment with large rooftop terrace, would also fit a (larger) family. Easy to walk to groceries, bakeries and restaurants in central Muggia. Good alternative if you want to visit Trieste (take the ferry) or go cycling along the coast (start of Parenzana).

Great place to stay in Muggia!

Great location eight minutes walk to the waterfront and ferry terminal, and one minute walk to the supermarket. Apartment is fully updated with modern appliances and contemporary decoration. Fabulous views from the wrap-around terrace on the sixth floor. Well-equipped kitchen. We had a car, so we really appreciated the garage parking. Property manager was very responsive.

Super schöne Aussicht und tolle Lage! Schnelle hilfreiche Antworten von der Host. Es hat alles, was man braucht in der Wohnung. Sie ist gross und in den Schlafzimmern hat es AC. Wohnzimmer könnte gemütlicher sein, aber hat Sofa und Fernseher. Terasse ist riesig!

Der Geschirrspüler war ziemlich dreckig, wir haben ihn dann geputzt. Sonst war es aber schon sauber. Eher wenig Besteck und Gläser, aber es geht!

Lokatie, prachtig uitzicht op de haven van Triëst. Supermarkt heel dichtbij, op loopafstand van het gezellige Muggia. Garage. Makkelijk met de boot naar Triëst. Wasmachine, airconditioning en volledige keuken. Fantastisch balkon!

die lage war perfekt - unweit des busbahnhofs und der altstadt - 6. liftstock - gigantischer rundumblick - luxus an raum - ca. 100 m2 terrasse - ca. 100 m2 wohnung - perfekte küche und sanitäranlagen - 7 bettem - eigene garage - supermarkt ums eck - sehr sauber und funktional - div. bücher und sogar eine weihnachtskrippe für dezember aufenthalt - ruhig und sehr empfehlenswert!

Schöne Woche in schöner Umgebung

Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet. Schöne Terrasse mit einem tollen Rundumblick. Ein Supermarkt war in direkter Nachbarschaft und die Altstadt nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war unproblematisch. Sie hat sofort reagiert.

W-lan war unzuverlässig. Es gab kein Deutsches Fernsehen.

Fantastisk udsigt fra kæmpe balkon (balkoner). Flot og stor, moderne lejlighed. Perfekt beliggenhed til udflugter langs kysten og ind i Slovenien. Privat gratis parkeringsgarage. Super godt supermarked helt tæt på.

Mangler 2 solsenge 🤩. Gerne 2 dyner istedet for en fælles i det store soveværelse.
