Summer House Sydney is such a great place to stay in Sydney. The staff are so lovely when you arrive and there is a lift to go upstairs with your luggage. The best thing about this hostel is that there is free events on daily e.g. one morning a week there’s free pancakes, one night there was a free pool night, paint night, bracelet making night. I think all these activities rotate and it is the best way to meet people in the hostel. The dorms are big inside and the bathrooms are clean.
The kitchen area isn’t that big and there isn’t really any space to store your food because there’s lots of other people there. There isn’t a lot of decoration around but obviously that doesn’t affect your stay.

Everything is excellent, staff very cordial, facilities, kitchen clean throughout, free barbecues and pancakes, comfortable beds with lights and curtains. I strongly recommend this hostel.

Great location, close to public transport and town. Easy check in and out.
Only four showers available on level 1. Can be hard to grab a shower without waiting, and waiting area is in the hallway.
