River Houses Ljubljanica

Everything was great loved the converted touring caravan bungalow great fun and pool Very kind host too. Handy for bus if not travelling by car. River location free canoes water taxi too.

The house had everything we could possibly need plus more - essentially a full kitchenette, canoes, river boat, pool, parking and more. Dijana (the owner) was lovely and was there to help the entire time. Also the place was very clean! The house was around ten minutes (drive) to the centre and in a very good location.

The Bungalow was cute, clean and comfortable. The Kanu was a real Highlight.

The owners live on site in one unit and met me when I arrived. The little unit I had, looked out across their backyard to the river where they had a pontoon. Swans swam on the river. There were kyacks and canoes to use if I wanted. It was quiet and peaceful but close to the city center. Easy to get to Postojna Caves and to Lake Bled. My leave day coincided with a major walk for the City - Liberation Day - Walk the Wire - to commemorate the removal of the barbed wire fence that divided the City after WWII. This walk goes straight past the River House so my wonderful hosts arranged for me to park my car at the neighbours across the paddock so I would able to drive out. I highly recommend staying at River Houses, it is peaceful and close to everything and the hosts are just lovely. Wished I could have stayed longer just to sit by the river and slowly paddle up and down.
