House Trta

Excellent location, close to the city center but away from the noise and the people. Very clean, the room was very well thought out, it was very comfortable and had everything we wanted. The breakfast was very good as well, very flexible (we could eat whenever we wanted really) and the food was good. Aleš ,who runs the place, was very nice, gave us amazing tips of ways to go when we wanted to explore the castle and good restaurants nearby, without being overbearing or in our way at all. Overall one of the best stays we’ve had.

We visited during the World Cup and the other people staying (there is only one other room at the property) decided to watch a match at 4 am which meant they started moving the furniture around and clapping loudly. The rooms are very well insulated and we couldn’t hear anything otherwise, but multiple adults shouting loudly did make it through the wall. This is not at all the fault of the property but the fault of other tourists who should be a bit more thoughtful about how their actions impact others…

Great location by the river. Quiet but close to central.

No private parking and public parking conditions are not tourist friendly. Breakfast options were limited and not entirely too out taste.

Mrs. Darja is super nice, helpful, and accommodating!

After a friendly welcome we were shown to a quirky very comfortable room in the eves, just one floor up, which had a spotless bathroom and everything necessary. Hearty breakfasts and interesting chats with the owner added to the experience. The neighbourhood of house Trta is leafy and close to the river, close to at least two of the city's main attractions and only 10 minutes walk from the centre. Local and central eateries were all good. The city card was worth the money especially as we had a wet day to fill.

Everything was great.
