It was a beautiful house with a spectacular view and there was everything you needed in the house.
At the back of the house there was a very rusty old table and chairs. It ruined it as the house inside was so lovely.

I liked the view and the area! Such a peaceful place. The kitchen was very well equipped and big!
The sofa needs to be changed

The kitchen was modern . However, some of the cooking equipment should have been binned !
There was a stale smell as soon as you entered the property . The bathroom floor , trap door was loose , and boards raised up when stood on , leaving a dangerous hole into the founds ! Couldn’t get the TV to work , and no visible instructions available . The double room wooden floor wasn’t cleaned properly , and only noticed this when black trousers were dropped , and they were covered in dust and hair ! The outside rear patio was covered in huge weeds , and furniture was rusty and no seat pads to be found either . Completely different from picture on website . We left a day early as not quite what we expected. Contacted the property management team to give them this information before we left the property , however no reply as yet . Hopefully, Karen , the host , can act on this review . Disappointed to say the least !

the kitchen could use some larger pots and better pans, but overall it was great

We travelled as a family. Location is nice, as we wanted it - a bit but not too remote, view on the bay is super.
Kitchen is spacious and new with all needed items for self-catering. Both bedrooms very nice. We loved refurbished wood floor and the rest of the bathroom. The living room with the reclining sofa and the rest chair were in the evenings in high demand by all family members 😊.
Check in and check out experience was easy.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the stay.
Back garden was quite overgrown with weeds, the laundry carousel was rusty - small and not important items, but since the inside of the cottage is excellent, few hours of work or TLC on these items could bring the perception of the residence up the last 5%.

Rear garden gravel area, where we wanted to sit out on the garden furniture was very overgrown with weeds. Needs spraying with weedkiller or manual weeding

It had all the amenities we needed. It was a quiet cottage retreat with amazing views at the same time as being sufficiently close to Dunvegan village for food etc. The layout was good. A big kitchen. Beautiful surrounds.
The tap in the kitchen only dribbled. No clothes or dish washing tablets provided.

Very comfortable and relaxing! Large kitchen and the ability to complete some laundry was great. Information from the host was clear and thorough. We would definitely recommend staying at their property to any of our friends and family!

An Cregan is a cosy cottage nestled in the side of a gentle slope in an absolutely stunning location, not too far from Portree for grocery shopping, but with a feeling that you’re miles from anywhere. There was not a sound to disturb our sleep. The beds were comfy and the rooms were warm. The house itself was spacious, the kitchen well-equipped, and it was so great to do some loads of washing on our travels. It’s also a good distance from Dunvegan and Uig, allowing us to do some exploring up north. Skye is a magical, magnificent island and we would return to Skye, and An Cregan, in a heartbeat. (In fact, we’d love to do some summer walking one day. The roads can be a bit treacherous in winter, and the days are so short.)
We would have loved to know in advance that there was no firewood supplied so we could have stocked up on our way through Portree.

Superb location! Overall, the house was very clean and well furnished, with lots of extra covers and plaids for warmth.
While the kitchen was fully furnished, the frying pan was in bad shape which made it difficult to cook. Probably won't matter to a lot of people though.

The property was set in a beautiful location. The house was nice and warm upon arrival, and was very clean. The kitchen and fireplace were the highlights for us in this property and makes you feel at home. The apartment has all the facilities you would require for a short stay and is in a great location with plenty of amenities nearby.

clean , cosy very warm & plenty of hot water for bath/ showers.
lovely view from the cottage across the Loch when the weather brightened up
instructions on how to use satellite TV system/ dishwasher/cooker would be useful,
more utensils e'g tin opener, scissors, serving spoons in the kitchen too
outside in the garden needed a cut back , tidying, getting abit overgrown, it could be made really nice to sit out in summer .

Beautifull and well equiped kitchen. Spacious house. Quite location with great view, gives a good starting points to discover the island.
Living room could use some more decoration.

The cottage is very comfortable, super quiet and well equipped.
Everything was great. Just one minor comment: the bathroom isn’t really one as there is no plug for the bath.

We loved the cottage! The pictures on the website don't do it justice, the place is absolutely amazing!
The location is exactly what we were hoping for, remote and quiet with a beautiful view.
I think it would be great to have just one faucet in the bathroom sink. Water is either very hot or cold and there is no way to mix it other than plugging the drain in the sink. My kids were struggling with washing.

location was beautiful overlooking the loch.
Tomcat has obviously sat in porch when door open hosts need to try and eradicate the smell. However this did in no way affect our stay and the time we spent there.

Excellent location. Views from the front of the cottage were good and while a bit out of Portree, it's close enough that driving there isn't too bad. Dunvegan is closer still.
Cottage was modern, clean and well equipped considering the price paid, which was very reasonable.
Nothing major. Could've used more cutlery probably (only spoons were teaspoons) and the driveway can be a little awkward for longer vehicles potentially. However, both of these points are nitpicking.

Great space, peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views.
Considering it's location, a few essentials would have been nice. I.e. bread, milk, butter...
The coffee in the coffee jar was a hard lump 🤮. Rubbish bin not emptied!
After seeing that, I really didn't trust that the sugar was even good for consumption.
Didn't like the fact that there was a list of chores to do on the day of check out...considering the price I paid for the accommodation, I had to strip the beds, take out the rubbish, give handles and light switches a wipe down...all this information should be mentioned at the point of booking as I would probably have looked at staying somewhere else..

Very clean - especially the Kitchen which instantly made my wife very happy - well equipped cottage that was just perfect for our family. Added WiFi and Roku TV kept the kids happy!

The location was great - right in the north /centre of Skye. It was quiet and the view was lovely overlooking the water. The house was spacious and tidy. There was enough hot water for showers am and pm. The host helped me quickly when i asked anything. There was milk in the fridge for us on arrival. There was washing up liquid supplied for dishes, laundry detergent and also fabric softener for using with the washing machine and tumble drier. There was anti-bac wipes for use and plenty of hand wash / shower gel etc supplied. There was a coffee machine with a selection of various pods to try. The fridge and freezer were big enough for everything we needed. The microwave is 800w and was clean. We used the guide books which were provided. The wifi was handy. There was enough towels provided - and the hot towel rail was good. The fluffy blankets on the bed were lovely. There was enough pillows and cushions for relaxing. I also used the hairdrier provided.
We couldnt find the cutlery when we arrived - it is in a drawer within a drawer - but the label is too high up to read when standing! The host replied very quickly when we asked about it. We would have liked some salt (pepper was provided).
