The location is good; close to rail station, the lake and town centre. The facilities cover the main needs but are in need of a range of maintenance.
We had been warned that parking was difficult, but proved manageable. We were warned that power may go off and were given instructions on how to reset switches; fortunately this didn’t happen to us.
Of the 7 ‘week long appointments’ we have rented in 2025, this is clearly the worst.
Upon arrival both toilet seats were loose, potentially dangerously so for older people. When reported there was an immediate visit in our absence; my immediate reaction was “that repair will not last 24hours” which proved accurate. When reported again we were told they would need spare parts and no action was taken for the rest of the week (see photos )
The unit is close to the front (ground level) heavy wrought iron gates that were hard to close; on average requiring 3 loud slams! '. The noise of slamming gates by late night returnees was disturbing.
The front door of the unit was damaged making it hard hard to lock. Only 1 of our 4 quests could manage the task.
Most appartments of this style come with basic cleaning supplies, and often a range of food/drinks.. some generously so. This property had absolutely nothing.
