Alessandro and Maggie the hosts welcomed us warmly and as there were no taxis available, Alessandro even met us at the station and his English is excellent. The property is situated in a very quiet location and the only sounds are the church bells nearby. The rooms are all spacious and the verandah was huge. It had a table, chairs and sunbeds and a lovely view over the town below. The owners live in the same grounds and are responsive to questions, and their cats are so friendly. The fans in the bedrooms cooled things down overnight. Stresa is a great location to explore the local area and we went as far south as Milan by train and also North to Locarno as well as numerous villages using the local ferry. Just make sure you check which days of the week they actually operate as we came a cropper!

UK tourists might want to know that there is no oven so we couldn’t cook a full meal and always had to go out for dinner. It took us 40 minutes to walk up to the apartment from the main square and 20 minutes from the station. so if we booked here again we’d hire a car

l emplacement est très bon la vue est magnifique .l embarcadère pour les iles Borromées est à 10 minutes à pieds .

Posizione in collina, molto apprezzata soprattutto nelle giornate caldissime che ci hanno sorpreso in questo fine maggio; proprietaria simpatica e disponibile; alloggio pulitissimo e con tutto il necessario (e anche di più); tranquillità assoluta sia di giorno che di notte; estrema facilità del trovare parcheggio.

Non posso fare nessun appunto negativo.
