Appartamento Ionios

The apartment is located in an area that is dominated by holiday accommodation. The beach is very close by and easy accessible. During the off season, it was very quite there since all restaurants and bars where still closed (end of March/beginning of April). The apartment has a great balcony with sunny conditions in the morning until around noon. It was great for the morning coffee with sunrise view. Parking in front of the apartment was very convenient and the contact with the landlord was very easy and friendly. We greatly appreciated the hospitality of the host. Since it was still quite cold during the nights, the host brought us additional blankets. The apartment is well-equipped with AC so that cooling/heating of the apartment is possible. There is a lot of space in the two fridges and a washing machine is available. There are a lot of nice sights to visit close-by e.g. the beautiful villages Noto, Marzamemi and Modica and a great local market in Avola. In addition, there is a beautiful nature reserve just south (Vendicari nature reserve) which offers beautiful beaches and historic sites with Flamingos included.

For a larger group, it would be helpful to have some addition equipment in the kitchen. The pots and pans available are quite small to cook for >4 people. Larger bowls for salad and smaller bowls were missing.

Appartamento corrispondente alla descrizione e foto, al primo piano di un complesso composto da piano terra, primo e secondo piano. Il soggiorno/angolo cottura ha dimensioni generose, molto luminoso ed arieggiato. Sempre dal soggiorno si accede ad un terrazzino attrezzato con tavolo e poltrone dal quale si gode di una bella vista del vicino mare (100 metri per la spiaggia di sabbia più vicina). Ampia disponibilità di parcheggio auto gratuito in strada antistante l'abitazione (fine settembre, non saprei se in alta stagione possano verificarsi problematiche).

Da migliorare la pulizia ordinaria e reintegrare alcuni accessori della cucina, rotti o andati persi nel tempo. Tutto ciò non ha comunque comportato problematiche alla vacanza.
