The Danbury, Lower Borough Walls

The apartment was exceptionally clean and the host had left us a welcoming bottle of wine. There was a heat wave and an airconditioning unit (we didn’t use) and a fan in each room had been supplied.

Couldn’t fault the apartment, it entirely matched our requirements. It is in a superb position near to all the major sites. The only slight problem is there is literally no easy place to park. We had to drop our cases etc. off and the driver had to leave to go to park our car. (we had booked a private parking space about a 5 minute drive away). There were cones down the whole road stating even loading and unloading was not allowed. Made us a little nervous as we had been told the wardens were very strict. This is not the fault of the apartment owner but just the only strike against the property I could find. ,

The apartment was very nice, and clean too. Great location. The big bed was comfortable and very spacious rooms. The two bathrooms were a great bonus. The apartment was very well equipped and the towels and bedding were very clean. Loved the soaps and lotions .

The key box was a bit fiddly and might be worth the host telling people to mix the digits. The number I was given was still on the box so any one could've took the key. First bedroom door would not shut fully and the two single bed mattresses were very hard and quite narrow to sleep on.

Location is absolutely perfect 5 mins to the train station 2 mins to the shops bars and restaurants.

Perfect location for a weekend break - close to the station, shops, theatre and other tourist attractions. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with all of the kitchen and dining facilities we needed
