The location is perfect, in front of the beach. We had the pleasure to have a sea view from our window. The kitchen is well equipped and always clean. The toilet as well.

In the morning (at 5:30 am) there is the sunrise. Unfortunately the curtains could not retain the Sun light coming from the outside. Hence I woke up.

Fabulous location - spectacular landscape

Helmod was a fantastic host, dropping us at the bus stop and providing us with a really interesting history of the area. Splendid location for the fabulous walks in the area. Kitchen had everything you needed, plus coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar etc. Very generous!

Limited area for relaxation (apart from the kitchen) but we spent most of our time outdoors anyhow so no big issue!!

Idyllic Lofoten experience somewhat off the beaten path

Location is fantastic. Very peaceful, great hiking opportunities, right across from a large beach. You cannot ask for more. One informational note, the room with the double bed is in back with no view, the ones with single beds have nice windows in front overlooking the sea. That said, we were in the back and were fine since we were only sleeping there.

There are three double rooms in a small thin-walled space sharing a small kitchen and bathroom. So the quality of your indoor experience will depend on the habits of the other guests. That said, being indoors isn't the main reason to come here.

Lovely location next to the beach and Ryten mountain with welcoming hosts. The only thing missing was a bit more common

Fabulous location, comfortable beds, hot shower, warm and welcoming host, kitchen.

I wanted a space where I could stretch after a long day of hiking. The bedroom wasn’t big enough and the only other space was the entry area where we leave our shoes. I ended up stretching there but it was right I. front of the main door, so a bit awkward.

Great place by the Beach and Walking distance from amazing hikes

The kitchen was clean and well-equipped. The room was clean. The location for The hike to Ryten was Perfect. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.

The room is quite small and hot to sleep on a sunny day. Sharing the kitchen and bathroom if the place is fully booked might be a bit challenging.

Friendly homestay

The location is truly unbeatable -- five minutes drive off the main highway, right across from a beautiful beach, and walkable to the Ryten/Kvalvika trailhead and others. Maybe a 10 minute country drive to groceries and food. It's all so beautiful. Shared (among guests) bathroom/kitchen are clean and well-appointed.

Rooms are pretty small, especially for more than one person. This is a great crashpad for Lofoten adventures, rather than a place to hang out in its own right.

Exceptional stay with very welcoming hosts

This is an exceptional place to stay for many reasons! I was greeted by Hermod who gave me lots of useful information on arrival and was very welcoming. The property is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities you need for staying and cooking. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and there was nothing extra needed. Shared bathroom is large and very clean too. The property's location overlooking a beautiful beach and mountains is fantastic and I had this same wonderful view from my window. The owners Heloíse & Hermod live upstairs and are available if you need anything but leave you alone unless you need them. Would love to come back here one day!

Heloise slammed the door in our faces!

Our experience at Heloíse’s accomodation could not have been worse, despite all the other positive reviews. Our reservation included two rooms with ocean views (we payed extra for the views, we really enjoy hotels with good views and always look for them). When we arrived one of the rooms had no views at all. Politely, very politely, we asked the owner if it was posible to get another room. He said the other room with views was not free and offered us a refund of the extra amount paid for the views. During this conversation, the owner’s wife came downstairs and assured us they had another accomodation not far for the four of us with views. The couple began to argue in Norwegian while we picked up our luggage in order to head to the new accommodation. To our astonishment, once we had all stepped out of the house, the lady slammed the door in our faces and left us outside. We rang the bell but got no reply. It was nearly10 pm, almost dark and we were left with nowhere to sleep in an isolated place and had to find somewhere else to spend the night. We wish this experience keeps potential customers away from Heloise´s accomodation. We have contacted Booking to complain and hope that some kind of punishment is taken. This facility should not be in Booking.

The position directly on the beach is fantastic and close to hiking top spots like Kvalvika beach The owner is very friendly and helpful Fully equipped kitchen also with a dishwasher Very good price for Lofoten islands

The room was very small, there was room only for 2 beds and one open suitcase The kitchen has 4 chairs and it is too small for all the guests at the same time as there are 4 double rooms

The owners are so helpful. They picked us up and sent us to the bus stop. They hosted and welcomed us warmly. There’s a good kitchen to use. The scenery in Fredvang is amazing, out of our expectations. You can hike in the mountains and walk at the beach. It’s the most perfect stay during my trip. We appreciated and valued it very much. Thanks for you again. We hope to be back.

Great stay for hiking in Lofoten

Great accommodation at Heloise's. The ground floor is reserved for guests and there's a clean and spacious bathroom and kitchen. Room was clean, pretty small but enough. Views to the beach. Location was excellent for doing the Kvalvika or Ryten hike and the hosts were super friendly.

The instructions for check-in could have been clearer.

Wonderful place

We really liked this accommodation. We stayed here with friends for a week and the landlord even took us fishing with him. We were lucky to be able to fish because the weather was good. The owners are very friendly and recommended us some amazing tours around the area. The house is right on one of the most beautiful beaches where we spent our evenings. We love this place.
