Excellent stay

The hosts are amazing very accommodating and lovable. The house was super clean and very well decorated. We loved the animals near us a lovely alpaca and some chicken which the owner was kind enough to offer us some eggs. At the end it was a beautiful place to stay in.

Outstanding accommodation!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Hoeve den Akker. The apartment is spotlessly clean, spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Carine and Geert are such lovely hosts and we loved feeding their beautiful alpaca.This apartment is set in a very peaceful location so relaxation is easy. We enjoyed discovering some new places in Bruges but also like exploring parts of the coast and villages in the Netherlands. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We will definitely be back.

One of the best airbnbs I have stayed in! Will definitely recommend

We really loved staying at Carine and Geert’s place. It was very clean and the house was thoughtfully well designed. With modern en-suite toilets, aircon and insect screens to keep out the bugs while keeping the windows open for fresh breeze. The compound was beautiful and it was a safe and open place for my 2 young kids to run around outdoors everyday. They also adored Andre the alpaca and looked forward to feeding him and the chickens everyday. Geert and Carine’s hospitality was also much appreciated, they were around to help us in every way and the boys enjoyed riding the bike with Uncle Geert.

None. But need to highlight that you would need a car to get around as it will be difficult to get to places without one.

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed at!

- the hosts are wonderful people who help you with anything you need - the area is wonderful, being completely quiet - the apartment for 2-4 people was enough for 4 people (two couples). In addition to the bedroom, the hosts arranged two single extendable beds in the living room. Those were very comfortable - every morning and every evening the hosts left us food for the alpacas. Alpacas were extremly friendly. The alpacas were the icing of the cake - everything was exceptional, dreamlike - 110 minutes from Charleroi airport, 20 minutes from Brugges, 40 minutes from North Sea

The holiday home itself was a dream—immaculately maintained, beautifully designed, and offering a tranquil retreat near Brugge, Damme, and Knokke. What truly set this stay apart was the presence of the charming alpacas. Our daughter was absolutely delighted, and interacting with these gentle creatures made for an unforgettable experience. The combination of nature, comfort, and serenity created a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. Every detail of the home was thoughtfully arranged, ensuring maximum comfort. The location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area while still providing a peaceful countryside atmosphere. If you're looking for a luxurious yet cozy getaway with a touch of magic, Hoeve den Akker is an absolute gem. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Fantastic hosts, beautiful property

Geert and Carine are special hosts. Meeting them and staying on their beautiful property was the highlight of our trip. We’d love to return with the rest of our family. The house was exceptionally comfortable, well maintained and equipped, and located on a lovely quiet road. It was a quick commute into Bruges, the location was ideal for us.

We loved everything. Property is spacious and clean. Kids love feeding the animals. We have our own place but owners live on the same site so that makes everything much easier. They are very friendly and nice. Brilliant stay, highly recommended.

The place is super clean, quiet and very calming. Location is like 10-15 min by car from Bruges and is surrounded by private farms. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need. Alles war nagelneu und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet mit allen Geräten, Backofen, Spülmaschine, Induktionsherd. Sehr freundliche, unkomplizierte Vermieter.

Wir sind von Geert und Carine sehr freundlich und unkompliziert empfangen worden. Das Grundstück und die Wohnungen sind sehr gepflegt und wir hatten das Gefühl, bei Freunden zu Gast zu sein.

Ein unvergesslich schöner Urlaub auf höchstem Niveau!!!

Zu der Frage, was uns gefallen hat, können wir nur sagen: Alles!!! Schon bei der Ankunft waren wir von dem Haus und dem ganzen Gelände und vorallem der netten Begrüßung von Carine und Geert extrem begeistert. Carine und Geert haben so ein gutes Händchen bei der Einrichtung der Wohnungen und sie pflegen alles ganz liebevoll. Man könnte direkt dort einziehen. Der Ausblick am Morgen auf die Alpakas und die Hühner hat uns jeden Tag zum Lächeln gebracht. Wir haben uns wirklich rundum wohl gefühlt. Auch die Qualität und das Sortiment der Inneneinrichtung ist herausragend. Das Bett war super, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, das Bad und insbesondere die Dusche waren super, die Sitzecke vor dem Haus mit Ausblick auf Natur und die Tiere ein Genuß!!! Es hat uns nicht nur an nichts gefehlt, sondern gezeigt, mit wieviel Liebe alles eingerichtet wurde. Jeder soll sich wohl fühlen!! Von dem Haus aus ist man in Null-Komma-Nichts in Brügge oder Damme und alle Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf sind in der Nähe. Auch für Ausflüge mit dem Rad oder zum Spazieren ist die Gegend perfekt. Carine und Geert, danke für diesen unvergesslich schönen Urlaub. Ihr seid ganz bezaubernd und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!! Top verblijf, super gastvrij, zeer persoonlijke ontvangst en thuisgevoel.

Het thuis gevoel in een heel rustig kader. Voor en tijdens verblijf vriendelijke en snelle communicatie, met eigenaars Carine en Geert. Hoewel ze er zelf niet waren, ervoer ik ze toch dichtbij. Hun zoon Jonas nam de honneurs perfect waar. Kleine attenties, zoals aardbeitjes en verse eitjes, en voer om zelf de alpaca’s te voederen… ik voelde me heel welkom en de uitbaters zijn super gastvrij!

Es ist die tolle Gegend , Damme - Brügge - Gent - Nordsee usw. , die wunderschöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, aber vor allem sind es Carine und Geert die von uns 5 Sterne + erhalten !!! Ihr seit soooo lieb und wir sagen nochmals danke für alles !!! ( die Hortensie habe ich zum trocknen aufgehängt ) 1000 % Weiterempfehlung!!!
