Gorgeous apartment, perfect location

The apartment was even more beautiful in person. The communication with the proprietors was easy and they were very kind when our journey was delayed. The location was perfect for us and we loved the two restaurants nearby, trattoria da ubaldo and l'anciüa. the wifi was solid, the a/c was lovely, and it was lovely to be able to do a load of wash.

The apartment number was different than the number in the listing, so we couldn't find it, but luckily the proprietor was meeting us there.

Awful property with a misleading name, would not recommend to anyone.

Location. Absolutely nothing else.

The name of this place at the time of booking, and at the time of writing this review, is “La casa del papavero con AC e ascensore.” Ascensore means elevator/lift, and the name of the property translates to “the house of the poppy with AC and elevator.” We booked this property because it advertised that there was an elevator, so imagine our surprise when we arrived and we were confronted with 3 steep flights of stairs instead. This property has no elevator and the name is misleading and deceptive. Additionally, there was only one roll of toilet paper provided for 3 adults for a 3 night stay. There were no towels at the property on arrival, and when this was queried we were told they would be dropped off soon. After waiting over an hour, we followed up with the property manager and we were told that they were being washed and dried at this time, and would be at least an hour away. Ultimately, the towels were not provided until 3 hours after we checked in, and this only happened after a number of messages querying where they were. The wardrobe door in the main bedroom fell off when opened by the property manager. There were supposed to be two double beds, as stated in the booking, however we were instead provided with one double bed and two single beds. The double bed was as hard as a rock, and the single beds were incredibly soft and rickety, with any movement waking us up in the middle of the night. It smelled inside and the toilet did not flush properly and was dirty. The TV also did not work properly, and the hot water frequently ran out during showers. They also tried to make us check out at 10am when they check out time advertised on Booking.com was 9am-11am.
