We really enjoyed our weekend break at JOANS place. Most satisfaying for a great stayover.

Layout all around and homely outlay - tastefully decorated. Beautiful garden outlay and cared for by owner! Furniture quality and able to watch TV sport. Close to amenities and close enough to the wetlands for long walks and bird watching. Spacious kitchen well stocked. Indoor braai area with good chimney draft!

No scenic views - ok. In summer and very hot days, better cooling equipment - fans in bedroom very basic and noisy. Area: Dog poop everywhere even when signs on all walkways in area says different. Every open land or pavements/walkways had excrement!

Great location for breakaway

Large house with all the accessories you can possibly need, including indoor braai area. Photos does not do justice to this house, way bigger than expected. Very clean and great location in quiet street walking distance from the Marina and restaurants.. Perfect for a weekend getaway for a family or group of friends. Great value for money.

The accommodation was great, the indoor braai was reaaly nice and the facility is excellent.

There was no coffee or milk and the ice trays were not filled and in the freezer. We had to go to the shops to buy coffee, milk and ice.

Joan's Place is superb!

Joan and Gideon were very friendly, made us very comfortable, and Home Sweet Home .was excellent value for money. They also made us breakfast at a small additional cost. It's a great one-night stopover on our way north to the flowers in Namaqualand. Loved that it was so well-equipped, including for loadshedding, and the linens were excellent on very comfy beds. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to others.

Towels were a little musty smelling, which could be due to incomplete drying. Some white vinegar or stasoft in the.rinsewater would help. Everything else was fabulous.

What a gem! Great location, spotlessly clean, lovely decor and such a warm welcome from Joan and Gideon. The photos on the App really don't do it justice. Will definitely stay here again!

Clean and well appointed. Joan was lovely. Very open and pleasant space.

No sleeper couch as specified. Braai accessories were not cleaned. Outside area was not shown to us for use. Very bright light facing one bedroom was left on all night.
