Very Hospitable people you would see. The hotel is well maintained with great rooms and infrastructure

PROS: -Rooms are beautiful, like new and very clean. -FYI: The only English TV Channel is CNN. -Gym is nice, good equipment, but small and very hot (open air, no air conditioning). -2 elevators, small clean pool, plenty of hot water, good water pressure. Summary of suggestions/experience FOOD: -The hotel CLOSED their breakfast buffet two (2) days on May 13 and 15, 2026. In lieu of the buffet, they did provide a menu to order from. -The breakfast buffet was cancelled on May 15, 2026 despite 16 people sitting in the breakfast area at 8:10 am. -We stayed here because the breakfast buffet was supposed to be good and daily. They did not inform us in advance. -Hotel restaurant dinner menu was “out of” their Hanoi Bun Cha menu item on May 14, 2026. -The breakfast egg station is very stingy (ungenerous, cheap) on the amount of eggs you can order. We could only order 2 eggs per order during the buffet or A La Carte. I tried to order 3-5 eggs everyday because that is all I eat and I am a 100 kg weight-lifting man with all muscle who needs protein. -We tried to change hotels on May 13, 2026 moving to Muong Thanh Hotel to be closer to the action but that hotel was FULL, while the Grand Fleuve Boutique Hotel had such LOW occupancy they canceled their breakfast buffets on two days of our 6 night stay. -At check-in, this hotel asked if we wanted to upgrade our room to a street view room (we never inquired about it). They offered the street view room at 250K VND per night, despite a very LOW (>10%) occupancy rate and our 6 night stay (we thought this was sad on their part). Was a little odd because we didn’t ask and reception didn’t tell we the cost. I had to ask about the cost because I wasn’t sure if they were offering it as a free upgrade due to low occupancy or if there was an additional fee. -LOCATION: the hotel is far from everything (20 minute walk to Cable car, mini marts/convenience stores like Circle K, good restaurants, activities, etc). The Night Bazaar is underground at the adjacent park and is small, with a small selection of not very good items, no food, only sausage hot dogs. -GYM: The hotel gym is an open air gym. The temperature was 43 degrees Celsius “feels like” temperature (which is 108 degrees Fahrenheit) on May 14, 2026 at 10:30 am. -No disinfectant spray in the gym to clean gym equipment before or after use. -No gym towels (only large pool towels). -LAUNDRY: the hotel offers a 26 hour turn-around. Drop off by 10 am, pick up by 12pm the next day. Cost is per item. T-shirts are 35,000 VND each. Shorts are 40,000 VND each. No other laundry services nearby. Other Vietnamese hotels we stayed at offered same day pickup, charged by the kilogram, and was much cheaper. -Most of the staff does not speak English well, so it is hard to order breakfast eggs, or get your order correct, etc.

Grand fleuve was a nice hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of foods. Rooms were clean and as advertised. The pool area and rooftop bar was nice. Would recommend this hotel.
