THE COTTAGE
In a very quiet hamlet about 2 kms from the market town of Villefranche de Lonchat, located in the Purple Perigord, we will be happy to welcome you to our cottage "Campagne Chic" in stone and exposed beams with a capacity of 6 people.
This 120m2 cottage consists on the first floor of a beautiful living room with stone wall, for an authentic atmosphere, including a living room with TV and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen (hob, fan oven, microwave, kettle, juicer, toaster, filter coffee maker and Nespresso coffee machine, steamer, electric mixer), a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet and a pantry-laundry room.
Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a 160X200 bed and an office allowing teleworking with a view of the garden as well as a wardrobe with wardrobe. Also a very large mezzanine bedroom (without a view of the living room on the first floor) divided into two spaces with a 160X20 bed overlooking the meadow and a wardrobe, and a second space with two single beds. A bathroom with shower and toilet completes the first floor.
This first floor has a lot of charm, is made of stone and exposed beams.
Outside, you will find a partially fenced and wooded garden, a shaded terrace where you can have your meals and a private parking lot.
Garden furniture is at your disposal for your outdoor meals as well as barbecues, deck chairs, and deckchairs.
The 10 by 5 metre salt water swimming pool is located in front of the cottage, separated from the cottage by a hazelnut hedge, on a grassy and wooded plot with sunbeds and parasols. The security system is an alarm, children are placed under the full responsibility of the parents. or a responsible adult.
AROUND THE COTTAGE
The market town of Villefranche is 3 minutes away by car where you will find bakery, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, post office, hairdresser, doctor, ATM...
Our Region is rich in a vast heritage.
The Chateau de Michel de Montaigne is a 10-minute drive away.
The Moulin de Duellas and the trip on the Isle in a gabarre (traditional boat) with the passage of a lock at Saint Martial d'Artenset is 20 minutes away.
Saint Emilion is 20 minutes away.
Bergerac and the Château de Monbazillac are 40 minutes away.
To the east, Périgueux and its historic centre is 55 minutes away.
To the west, Bordeaux, the Gironde capital, is an hour's drive from the gîte.
For sports enthusiasts, the Grand Saint Emilionnais Golf Club in Gardegan-et-Tourtirac is a 15-minute drive away. The Golf de St Meard de Gurson, 20 minutes from the cottage.
Every Friday evening in the summer, on the Place de Villefranche, a very nice gourmet market takes place.
As for swimming, you can enjoy the Gurson Lake Leisure Center (Blue Flag) 7 minutes by car from the cottage (supervised swimming). The Gurson lake also has a fishermen's lake.
The town of Montpon-Ménestérol is 10 minutes away where you will find supermarkets and other amenities as well as a fresh produce market on Wednesday mornings. For gourmets and gourmands, the Dordogne has nothing left to prove and you will find around the cottage many producers with good products to enjoy.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Rental in July and August by the week only: from Saturday to Saturday.
Included in the price:
- bed linen and towels, a hairdryer is available in each of the bathrooms,
- the BB kit (travel cot and an extra mattress with fitted sheet, high chair, changing mat),
- a grocery store (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar),
- a hygiene kit on your arrival (toilet paper, garbage bag, sponge, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablet, dish towels),
- Cleaning fees included, however we ask that the accommodation be returned in a correct condition.
Arrival from 4 pm, departure at 10 am at the latest.
Pets are not allowed.
In our peaceful little village, we will be delighted to welcome you to our gîte which can accommodate up to six persons. It's decorated in "countryside chic" style with original stone and wooden beams.

Beautiful property in such a beautiful area of France.The property had its on private swimming pool which was very well kept loved every moment of our stay here biking the quite roads on our E Bikes was a pleasure. Supper hosts that were there if needed otherwise left you be.

Thank you so much Isabelle and Thierry for being such wonderful hosts, we had a brilliant holiday and really enjoyed staying in your truly outstanding gite. The accommodation was very well equipped, and very comfortable, every detail had been thought of. The location is ideal for visiting the beautiful surrounding countryside, and we all enjoyed relaxing by the superb pool. I do not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone!

The gîte is very well equipped and a great place for a relaxing break. Communication with Isabelle was very easy and nothing was too much effort. Note that the bedrooms upstairs are 1 on the mezzanine with the 2nd bedroom and bathroom off the mezzanine.
