Latin Quarter Townhouse

Excellent location, very clean and comfortable apartment. Visiting with family and it suited us perfectly. Beds were comfortable and clean. Good communication from host on the booking.com app and they were very accommodating. Good value for money for a group of 10. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely house, brilliant location. Perfect for a group of friends in Galway!

Location was fantastic, right in the heart of the best bars and restaurants. House was lovely too and comfortably accommodated a group of 7 friends. I would definitely stay there again with a group.

It is an extremely noisy location which was fine for us as we were out every evening but may not suit everyone. It would be helpful to have the hair dryer in the flat rather than available on request. Also mirrors are really needed in the bedrooms for girls to put make up on as with a full house the 2 bathrooms are constantly in use when everyone is getting ready to go out at the same time.

Like others have said, this accommodation is in an unbeatable location steps away from all that Galway city has to offer. We were a family with teenagers and loved that the kids could safely walk anywhere from the apartment. The rooms were fine and the beds comfortable.

The downside to the location is noise from the bars and restaurants but bring earplugs and you'll be fine. 3 bedrooms are on the street side. The stairs (1 flight to 1 bedroom and 2 flights to the other 3) could be challenging for those with limited mobility. Also, surprised there was a washing machine but no dishwasher but with lots of choices of restaurants on the doorstep we didn't cook.

All of us were really happy overall, if a little tired! And would absolutely stay again.

Because of not having to be there at a specific time to meet a host was great. The location was amazing until it was time to go to sleep... Everything you need was there, full kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms. Very clean.

The Key box was difficult to open and the cord for the key complicated the ability to unlock the door. It was a bit of a palava. Between looking for the magic door and getting in we were a little stumped. There was a serious lack of sleep due to noise pollution, parties, screeching seagulls and keg deliveries... But really what do you expect when you are in the HEART of a vibrant city.

Property is in an excellent location - obviously given it is in the heart of Galway, there is a lot of noise from on street which is to be expected so just to bare in mind anyone travelling for a quiet get away / young children. It is well suited for anyone travelling for a social event

The property itself is very basic - ideal for an over night. Bags of rubbish were left at the bottom of the stairs at the front entrance / one of the bathrooms had no soap dispenser. We had confirmed our arrival for 3pm and you are to receive your code for check in in advance of this - I had to ring the property at 3pm looking for the code to be advised it would be sent once the property was ready - albeit the code was sent approximately 15 minutes later but this left us delayed for plans we had already made.

Honestly a 1 rating is still too high for this property! Manager was not pleasant to deal with the place was damp and stinking floor lifting and a lot of other issues including the toilet not working upon discussing with someone in person shortly after arrival they apologised and agreed it shouldn't of been that way. Trying to deal with this with the property and booking.com was a nightmare neither of them wanted to sort it! AVOID AT ALL COST!! Don't understand how this passed inspections for booking especially for families or anyone the damp was that bad

great location to be able to walk around. downfall it is very noisy with local nightlife.

very loud late at night. Older and needs updating. Bathrooms had mold and washing machine did not work. Had standing water in machine which was smelly and had to close door to kitchen to help with odor. Furniture was broken, lack of shades on windows, master bedroom window was not secured and easily could be removed. storage closet for cleaning staff that had not been locked and trash from previous renters left in closet. Lack of property management not responding to my inquiries. Bookings was helpful through my issues.

The facilities had many issues, including toulets didnt fill properly; washer did not work casing us to get laundry done offsite; rooms were very crowded and insufficient for the number of people in our crop. group. The windows did not close properly to deaden the sound outdide.

Utensils were not clean, some stains were remaining when we arrived. Extremely noisy as the pub and bar below are still very crowded after midnight. lower bathroom has its lock broken, lacking privacy. upper bathroom has its main lights broken. Bathrooms has minimum air ventilation. the double bed room has a window that goes to - probably the kitchen of a pub - because there were smell of food coming through window at midnights . soundproofing was nonexistent. footsteps on the first floor can clearly heard on the third floor even with doors closely. No hairdryer. Sofa were not clean

The location was so central, couldn't be better. Beds were comfortable.

Hard to sleep with the noise as its on the main street. A deposit of €300 was needed before arrival and took a few days to be refunded.

I liked that the Townhouse was close to Restaurants, Pubs, and Shops.

I didn't like all the noise from the Pubs and Restaurants until 2:00am and then the noise from the Trash pick up and delivery trucks that started around 6:00am.

The apartment was in a wonderfully convenient area of Galway city close to restaurants, pubs and other amenities.

As a group of girls in Galway for a gig this was an ideal location. Not really suited to families with young children as I’m a lively area where nightlife is key and early morning deliveries are a factor in terms of noise. Saying that if you come prepared .. earplugs and not needing a lot of sleep you’ll probably be fine as the location of this apt is it’s major attraction.

I wasn’t thinking about it being Saturday and in the Latin Quarter. it was “bouncing” until 3am. but that was more my fault for not realizing the Saturday thing.
