The location was perfect for us as staying over before catching a ferry early next morning. Accomodation was basic but clean and very comfortable
Not sure if fridge worked, may just have been us not flicking the correct switch
4.0 / 10.0
The location was great right at the pier. The television had good signal which is often lacking on islands. I slept relatively well considering the rest of the feedback.
The caravan was freezing - I would have expected it to be cold but the windows were draughty, the skylights were held on with silicone and had obvious damp damage. The bathroom floor was soggy/old/falling apart and when sitting on the toilet it felt like it was going to go through the floor. The WiFi wasn't working and on my second morning the hot water didn't work. The fire alarm was running out of batteries so on the second night there was a regular beep disturbing the peace. The caravan must have surpassed its usable life expectancy.

Great location, really handy for the ferry to Lewis and Harris. Simple check in - hosts let us know in advance where to find the key.

Proximity to both the bus and ferry terminal.
No hand rail on the entry steps.

Great location & overall a real value for money option. A stroll to an excellent seafood restaurant, Bakur, nice views, a petrol station and breakfast that you can order if you want it. Good hot water, functional kitchen & solid wifi
Its a very dated camper which has seen better days, signs of roof leaks that have been patched over the years and rooms that are tiny.

Bathroom, needs sorting floor not good, very old static home.

Self contained and in a great location. Cosy being a caravan but great heater and hot water.
Too small for an adult in the second bedroom. No hot water upon arrival but messaged the property and they came and rectified it promptly.
6.0 / 10.0
It was clean, quiet location, genuine effort has been made to make the dining/lounge area comfortable. Kitchen fitted out well.
The accommodation is a static caravan - not an apartment as advertised.
Very small, not really suitable for 4 adults. The bunk bed did not fit my 6ft 2 husband - bunks ok for children.
There was no garden’s as mentioned in the advertisement - unappealing outside area (we had to wash down table and chairs before being able to use them).

Great views, good restaurants in the area. Friendly service! Free parking.

We knew from the website what to expect and we were happy that that was what we were provided with. We wanted a safe, comfortable and convenient place to stay before catching an early morning ferry to Harris. Skye Holiday Chalets provided this for us with minimal fuss and exactly as promised. We ate at the restaurant nearby and that was very good, too.

Too much like a caravan. Unattractive position.

Bit tired, mould on windows .

We liked how warm and cosy it was and so close to the ferry. We were able to park the car in the queue to get onto the ferry then walk back to the accommodation and have a coffee!
It was ideal for our purpose

The lounge area
The bedroom was small and very basic, with the bed linen completely disheveled (sheets possibly hadn’t been changed and we had to remake the bed completely) and we both seem to have got bitten by bed bugs! Not nice!
Kitchen very small but ok for a caravan, and lounge area quite nice and comfortable.
The bathroom was damp and had a sloping floor which seemed to be disintegrating.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to gift this booking to my sister.
Her experience was that of a basic caravan type accommodation.
She was appreciative of a few local amenities including a tea room and a pub/restaurant.
In conclusion she felt that it was an affordable price for a “stop over” type stay due to its close proximity to the ferry terminal.

The place was very peaceful
The chalet is more suited to 2 adults 2 kids not 3 adults as the single beds/junior beds were small. The toilet seat was loose, shower wouldn't drain unless you took out the drain part, the water leaked over the tray and through to bedroom. There was a stale smell when we went in and could have done with a good clean. In general the chalet could do with updating. Over all the isle of Skye scenery and places we visited were stunning, just not the chalet I'd give it 4 or 5 out of 10 and that's because of the peaceful location

We had to call as there was no hot water. The TV also didn't work, no connection. Although the weather wasn't good and the owner stated this was the reason. It was exceptionally windy however the second bedroom couldn't be used as the windows rattled and let the wind in so had to sleep on the sofa

Great to have private space after multiple hotels & hostels, parking next to the door so lugging luggage,
A living space, comfortable bed and everything you’d need,
Easy check in & out,
Handy location for exploring the north of Skye or getting the ferry
A little tired, it’s an older van but great price so no issue,
View is very limited but only a few seconds to the best views
Droning from the ferry engines but you get used to it or they stop in the night,

Location was good for what we needed.
Leaking toilet that we were told was fixed but it wasn't and the floor did not look like it had been swept.

It was a good location.
There was so many things bad about our stay:
-Garbage left in the property
-towels given were dirty
-the was a nest of spiders in one of the rooms, a danger to public health. Apart from the ones we had to kill in all the rooms we also couldn’t slept in one of the rooms and no other solution was offer for our stay.

Nothing, avoid this place if you can.
Everything
Located in a back yard opposite a building site, caravan not chalet was in terrible condition. Mould, broken shower, broken toilet seat, spiders crawling everywhere.
We contacted booking.com about this and the property did not respond to our complaint. Absolute joke for the price and will not be recommending to anyone.

Chalet was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has everything we needed for our 4 day stay. With good WiFi.
It's outdated and not welcoming from the outside. It can be loud when raining and when ferries arrive to the port.

Open kitchen/couch area is convenient
Facilities and furniture very old, felt dirty. Bathroom uncomfortable to use and mouldy. Bedroom also mouldy and smelled of mould

Comfortable caravan, has all you need, quite clean
Booking.com sent me a message saying I should indicate my check-in time. I could choose a slot between 3 and 6 pm. I chose 3 pm, and got an irritated response from the owner that this was subject to availability only. It wasn't me however who wanted to choose a time, it was booking.com that requested me to do so. The hosts were very annoyed when we turned up that we had been requesting an early check in (they considered 3 pm early but booking.com website said 3 pm and they made me select from a check-in time slot list that included 3 pm). We had lunch at their little tearoom (very expensive) and then went walking about in the rain for another hour until we were allowed into the caravan. We never saw the hosts again, very impersonal experience, would not book again for this reason. Also because it's right in the uninspiring area noisy at the ferry terminal. There are many, much more charming accomodations available on Skye. Normally I don't book through booking.com as they harass you with emails like the request to send the host a a check-in time, but this property has no website itself and it was the only option to book.

Perfect location and value for money. It had everything we could possibly need and was very comfortable.
Don't use Google maps to find the accommodation as it takes you to the wrong location!

I had my doubts about standing in caravan, but the experience was good. Indeed, the caravan is small, but very smart dessigned. There is a lot of space to put things, like closet, shelves, etc. Small living room has quite a big table for 4 people and even an electric fireplace. There is a table with chairs outside. We ate outside when the weather allows. Our caravan was the first in a row, so we had a small garden in the corner for ourselves with goosberries and raspberries..
The location is convenient, 25 min to Portree, only 18 min to Quiraing, 10 min to the Fairy Glen, 40-45 min to Dunvegan castle.
The shower is small. You should wait for hot water a minute.

Kettle and cups were provided. In summer I can imagine to have a very good time in this accommodation. We also liked the provided information about the Isle of Skye. Enough space for two adults and a dog within the accommodation.
Given our travelling period (end of March), it was way too cold. The provided electric heaters in the living room and the sleeping room with two beds heated up reasonably fast (the one in the double bed room was warm and heated up a bit but could not fight the cold during night), but we were too afraid to let them run throughout the night (due to fire hazard and too much noise) and were woken by the cold (plus several times during night when we had to let the heater run for some time). There was no heater in the bathroom and we did not move the small heater there, so the bathroom remained cold. Also the windows were not sealed of entirely, you could feel the cold air coming in all the time (which was particularly annoying for the dog). I think with decent temperatures in the summer, this all might not be a problem, but for spring this accommodation was too cold for us.

the caravan was cosey, the beds were comfortable and it had a lot of facilities in the caravan. clean towels for us all, cutlery, cups, plates, coffee sachets & teas, table and chairs and wifi also ☺️ place was fab! it was also fab it was just across the road from a pub/restaurant. the staff were very helpful with any questions I asked and were in contact all the time to make sure I knew where I was going.
there really was nothing we didn't like ☺️ we had booked it as we have a lot of family in uig. we were coming up to scatter my grans ashes and visit family so the property for us was just perfect.
