Great location, walking distance to town.
Bathroom in particular was dirty and also the kitchen. We did arrive about 30 minutes early and the owner very kindly put the heating on for us but overall it was cold. The radiators went off for hours at a time and despite messaging the owner, we were still cold with extra layers and a hot water bottle. In the end we left a day early, we just weren't comfortable.

Very quiet location, dedicated parking next to property, clean bed sheets, plenty of hot water, it was warm, tea, coffee and sugar provided. It was within walking distance of city centre but it was a mile (that was ok with us but wouldn’t be for everyone)
The lack of cleanliness. 90% of reviews for this place say it’s clean but it isn’t. All the ones that say it isn’t are absolutely correct, it just depends on your standards. First impression on entering was a slight smell of dogs. It obviously had been cleaned but not in depth. There was dirt behind the tv, a cigarette butt under the sofa, crumbs and hairs between and behind the sofa cushions, disgusting slimy stuff clogging the draining board drain hole, the mugs were dirty, there was orange mould around the bath edges, a large can with many butts outside the back door, but worst of all, a big pile of dog dirt in the back yard. Also the kitchen light switch is hidden behind the fridge, the landing light switch upstairs doesn’t work so you have to go upstairs in the dark, the basin hot water tap is really hard to turn off, the main bedroom cupboards are filled with linen, the porch door is really stiff and there is no handle on the inside of that door.

Easy instructions and we had to contact the owner re heating and he phoned us straight away and arranged a boiler engineer to sort problemon Xmas eve so service was excellent from the host
The porch door was very stiff to open and front door sometimes difficult locking

Nothing to fault, clean and comfortable stay, parking a bonus and a short walk into town. Very comfortable beds. Great!
Nothing, liked it all.

The location was great, very quiet neighbourhood. Easy parking near by. Beds were clean and warm. Smart tv in the living room and bedrooms and free wifi.
On walking in we were hit by the smell of dogs which we struggled to get rid of despite spraying air freshener & opening doors / windows. We had a bit of a clean up when we arrived & when we run the antibacterial wipes up the banister the wipes were black. The windows hadn’t been cleaned for a while and the cleaning in general wasn’t to a high standard. There was cobwebs in the ceilings, dust in corners on the floors. Stair carpet mucky in places and the property in general was looking tired. The lighting was confusing in the hall way / landing although James did reply to a message & explained. We couldn’t get the kitchen light to work though. The hot water tap in the bathroom was loose and didn’t turn off properly nor did the toilet flush well. The beds weren’t comfy but were clean and warm. It was adequate for a nights stay but for any longer I think we would have struggled as it wasn’t massively comfortable.

the cleanliness. the space.
we all said it would be better if the were coat hooks somewhere, in the hallway or in the bedrooms.

Convenient quiet location with parking. Comfortable and clean townhouse. Good facilities within townhouse. The host was easily contactable and responded quickly.

Cute little patio area setup in the garden.
The place is in need of some TLC - everything looked used and in need of repair.
The beds were uncomfortable, the floors uneven and cracked, the couch was ripped at the top, the cupboards were filled with linens so we had nowhere to keep our things/suitcases, and town is not a short walk away (about 20 minute walk at a normal pace).
We could have glossed over all these things if it weren't for the cleanliness - we don't usually have a problem with pet friendly homes, provided it is appropriately cleaned afterwards. But here, the place was covered in dog hair (all over the carpet and rug, across the couch and in all corners of the house), and the lounge smelled of wet dog. There were spiders and spider webs in every corner of the house too. It all just made for an uncomfortable stay, and we were relieved to have booked only for 1 night.

The house was very clean and had everything you needed for our stay , was situated just outside of the town so easy to walk in . Loved the little garden out the back .
The sofa could do with renewing and a few rips in the flooring and maybe a later checkout

The location was in a quiet cul de sac, so very little traffic noise. The walks along shared cycle paths into town or to the river were a real bonus as I had my dogs with me. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival. There was a small, enclosed yard which was ideal for letting the dogs out safely first thing. The water was hot, bed comfortable, facilities and equipment beyond my expectations. Easy to park in the bay at the side of the property. James messaged on arrival to check all was well.
Maybe a couple of coat hooks in the hall, but I hung my wet coat over the door which served just as well.

Very clear instructions and good communication before arrival. The house is so quiet. Parking was easy and the house was spotlessly clean with good provision of towels, bed linen and toilet rolls etc. Its location to the town centre and west midland showground for events is excellent.
The single bed mattress was uncomfortable but I guess it is just personal choice. Front door lock is a little 'sticky' but manageable with patience.

The property was well equipped with kitchen untensils and a nice big fridge freezer. It was also very clean and tidy inside.
The garden space needs some attention. The outside bin was overflowing with rubbish with an additional full bin bag beside it ... it was the hottest weekend, so was rather unpleasant to sit outside. There were also lots of cobwebs around the doors. My husband took it upon himself to brush the patio area and patio door down himself, so we could sit outside.
The garden furniture had also seen better days, we were staying in Shrewsbury for the Let's Rock Festival, so had brought our own chairs, which we chose to sit on in the garden.

Not being provided with the code to the key box outside the porch, rather than to the one inside the locked porch.

Entered to a clean building with all you'd need for a stay. Nice area within a 30 minute walk from the hustle and bustle. Shop 5 minutes down the road. Plenty of parking room. Not much noise as was off the main roads.
Was nothing to dislike.

Perfect for us with our nervous dog as it was very quiet and garden secure.
Bed and bedding excellent quality
6.0 / 10.0
It had everything we needed. A kitchen, a bed, bathroom, settee and TV. and wi fi. It was within reasonable walking distance of the town centre. It had a car parking space and outside space to sit if wanted.
We felt it was very tired. Only one lamp in the bedroom could be plugged in, as the plug of the other didn't reach the socket. The hot water tap in the bathroom was very, very difficult to turn off. The bathroom needed updating and cleaning. Some of the crockery was stained and marked. There was no wardrobe or rail in the main bedroom.

We enjoyed our stay at the house in Shrewsbury, it had everything we needed as a base when visiting our family in the area. Great location - just a ten minute drive into town and approx 20 minutes walking. We were slightly concerned about parking when we got there as it was very busy on the off road parking leading up to the house, but there was no need to be concerned. The parking is adjacent to the house and you can see the car from the window. The area was very quiet and peaceful. We had an issue on checking in and James sorted this immediately. Two things we would say are the house has very creaky floorboards upstairs and the kettle could do with a descale. But having said that, we would stay again. Thank you

Handy parking, quiet but easy access to the centre. Great for friends to share.
There are some clear signs of wear and tear with some damaged flooring but not to any significant extent.

I prefer to stay in a house. Just like home away from home. Location wasnt too bad. Took about 15 to walk into town but we pub crawled along the way. 3 nice pub just down the road before you get into town. Basic house amenities but we were out all day and eve. Only slept there really. Would have preferred to stay in town but this was far cheaper for little sacrifice.
Nothing really. Basic house with a 15 min walk into town.

problem of a noisy house demanding my money back This is totally unacceptable and unfounded I did not say that period I asked Jenny I would like a refund for the night I’m not staying and giving her my reasons this has been twisted by the owner again saying I was aggressive! I was frustrated and tired by having little sleep,he has used this has his excuse to not issue a refund for the night I did not stay then he has been very chlidish very condescending and very arrogant ! And stated I’ve threatened him and is contacting the police If you stay at this house PLEASE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN IF YOU DONT SLEEP 💤, BELOW IN THE PHOTOS IS THE MESSAGES I HAVE SHARED WITH HIM IF YOU WANT TO STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN ITS TINY,NOISY,AND CHEAP FURNITURE IS UNCOMFORTABLE THE BATH HAS BLACK MOULD AROUND THE BATH THE POSTCODE GIVEN IS NOT CORRECT ON GOOGLE MAPS AND NO DIRECTIONS GIVEN THIS OWNER WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND IF YOU DARE MAKE A COMPLAINT HE WILL BE VERY CONDESCENDING IN MY OPINION HE IS NOT AN HONEST FAIR MAN ONLY INTESTED IN THE MONEY AND DEFINITELY NOT HIS CUSTOMERS WHO RENT THIS PROPERTY, PLEASE TAKE MY REVIEW WITH SERIOUS CONSIDERATION GARY

This is my honest opinion of this property and the owners The house is tiny, the furniture is so uncomfortable downstairs it is cheap and if you are disabled like me and my dad it will cause you discomfort, the property states Multiple people can stay overnight,I stayed with just my dad,we went to Shrewsbury to fish the river Severn for 3 days, on arriving at the property it was a lot smaller than the photos appear to show in my opinion made to look larger by photos advertising this property I felt it was claustrophobic, then we go to the upstairs, if you are a light sleeper or can hear noisy queasy stairs and landing then like me you will get little sleep, anybody moves downstairs or comes up the stairs to go to the toilet or to go to the other bedroom like me you will definitely be woken from sleep, the walls are so thin and the house has no sound proofing, every time my dad went the toilet and came out the double bedroom,he had to go past the single room bedroom door about a 2 foot away, the landing floor creeked,I could hear every movement my dad made not only upstairs but from downstairs,I got about 3 hrs sleep and decided I could not stay the second night and tried to find a hotel in my budget which I could not,I phoned the property management and told a lady called Jenny my situation and was going home cutting my 3 day fishing trip very short, her response drive carefully and safe journey home and she would contact my later in the day,I stated to her I would like a refund for the night I payed for but cannot stay and she said leave it with her !! From there I have been accused of bribery by the owner stating by me leaving my honest opinion on booking.com about the problem of a noisy house demanding my money back This is totally unacceptable and unfounded I did not say that period I asked Jenny I would like a refund for the night I’m not staying and giving her my reasons this has been twisted read on up top

It was in a very quiet area, easy to walk into town.
The bathroom need’s redecorating, mould around the bath.

The property was in a good location though a little overlooked at the front, soon rectified by closing the blinds. It was nicely presented and I slept well for all three nights. The green space just down the road is a good place for a wander and it was good to have the smart TV to play with.
The walk into town was longer than I expected. I stayed more at one end seeing the jail and castle and looking in a few shops. I would like to come back to do more so wish I had only had more time.

The location was great, 15 mins walk into town.
The beds were comfortable.
The whole place was clean.
The neighbourhood was quiet.
The check in was easy.
The shower wasn't great, the temperature went from hot, to freezing cold with no warning sporadically during each shower.
I think maybe putting some milk in the fridge for us would of been a nice touch but that's just my thoughts.

Great Location near the town. Just what we needed as we were working locally. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had an oven/cooker and microwave and washing machine, so pretty much all we needed. Shower was ok.
There was a strong smell of dogs upon arrival, which we worked out was coming from the lounge rug.
