About this house rental
Only 200m from Place de Verdun and La Rochelle lively town centre, yet tucked away from the
hustle and bustle, you will find this secluded gem of a house, the perfect spot for a peaceful and
restful holiday!
Fully renovated in 2020 to very high standards, it is opening onto a large south west facing
terrace with a heated pool.
This very stylish, comfortable and beautifully decorated house is ideally located within easy
walking distance of the busy town centre and its many shops, the daily market and harbourside
restaurants as well as the local beach.
There is space for one car in the gated driveway.
The house (176m2 over 2 floors) can comfortably sleep 8 in 4 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite
bathrooms.
On the ground floor, you will find:
- A bright and spacious living and dining space as well as the kitchen with its floor-to-ceiling
glass sliding doors leading to the terrace.
- A utility room
- A spacious double bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite walk-in shower-room + toilet
- A separate toilet with washbasin
On the first floor:
- A spacious and very bright master bedroom (over 30m2) with a super king-size bed (200x200),
walk-in closet, en-suite walk-in shower room, His and Hers marble sinks and toilet.
- A double bedroom with king size bed
- A bedroom with 2 single beds
- A guest bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower
- A separate toilet
Outdoor area:
- Small heated pool (secured by automatic cover)
- Decked terrace with garden furniture (table, chairs and sun loungers)
- Weber gas BBQ/Griddle
The House is intended to be a place of calm and rest.
Tenants have an obligation to ensure the tranquility of their neighborhood.
Day and night, excessive noise of all kinds is to be avoided.
The owners reserve the right to call to order any behavior that they deem harmful to the neighborhood and its occupants and if necessary to take sanctions.
Silence is required from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the accommodations.
Pets are not accepted.
The House is intended to be a place of calm and rest.
Tenants have an obligation to ensure the tranquility of their neighborhood.

POOL :
Any child under 16, unaccompanied by an adult parent, is not allowed to access the pool area. The tenant agrees to leave the curtain closed and secure
Any child under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult who knows how to swim (in order to avoid any risk of accident, we ask that you watch young children in particular).
Under no circumstances should children be left alone at the edge of the pool. If necessary for swimming.
Babies must be equipped with special nappies. They must be under the supervision of a responsible adult who knows
swim.
– Pool users undertake:
- To close the electric shutter and secure it by attaching the 2 clips in order to secure it after each entry and departure from the swimming pool.
- To close the electric shutter and secure it by attaching the 2 clips in the evening before bedtime, and absolutely remove them before opening
- It is forbidden to :
- To dive, throw or push someone into the water (beware of tiled steps)
- To run around the pool (risk of slipping and/or injury) –
- It is strictly forbidden to access the technical room and to touch the electrical installations.
DEPARTURE :
- Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay, this will greatly facilitate your departure! :
• Garbage cans must be emptied in the bins located in the garage
• The dishwasher must be emptied and the dishes put away
• Tables must be cleared
• The island, the tables (low, high) must be cleaned
Laundry :
• The sheets will have to be removed at the end of the stay and deposited with the bath towels, the tea towels in the bags provided for this purpose.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in La Rochelle, made by staying in Claudine’s beautiful house! The property is in an ideal location, right next to the shady park in the centre and only a 10 minute walk to the shops and port. Whilst being very central in the city, it still felt l peaceful and quiet staying in the house. Having the park next door was ideal. The house was impeccably clean and a very high standard of decor. Although the pool isn’t big, it was great for the kids to be able to play in and was very much needed as we were there in the intense 34 degree heat wave. Very easy for day trips out, we visited Il De Re the neighbouring island which was wonderful to cycle around. The city of La Rochelle is also great to explore. We also got a boat out to see Fort Boyard. We would recommend the house to anyone looking for a holiday with things easily accessible to do and also after a house which is easy to relax and get away from it all. Only downside is that we were there in the intense heat of the past week and there was no air con so was hard to escape the heat even at night. Take a fan if the weather is too much!!Claudine is as very responsive, answering any questions we had and able to assist with check in and out at ungodly hours of the day. Thank you Claudine!
