I'm not one to normally write reviews, but this place was truly special. Hidden away in an unassuming area of La Rochelle, this beautiful estate feels like discovering a secret oasis. Its location is perfect, with both the beach and the city centre just a short walk away, while still offering a peaceful and relaxing escape. The estate itself is stunning. The vegetable gardens are beautifully maintained, and the gorgeous courtyard, centred around a magnificent old tree, creates an atmosphere that is both tranquil and unforgettable. Our apartment was spacious, spotless, and the perfect getaway. In fact, it was probably one of the best nights' sleep I've had in a very long time. What makes this place truly exceptional, however, are the owners. They are the loveliest couple and have created something genuinely magical. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the beautifully curated café and thoughtful artwork and design, to the wonderful weekend pizza parties that make you feel as though you've stepped into another world. The team is incredibly hands-on and provides a level of service, care, and class that is unmatched. Their warmth and attention to detail make every guest feel welcome and valued. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Whether you're travelling as a couple, with family, or with friends, this is a truly special place that we will never forget.
