Great cabin great location

Nice authentic cabin, good sauna, great location and helpful staff

Beds are too small for a couple to lay next to each other and if you can't use the beds upstairs with the tiny stairway. Also would be nice if there would be a bedlinnen service. Now you have to make up your own bed. I know it's typical Finnish but for most tourists it would be better if beds are already made

Cozy cozy cabin

Beautiful cozy cabin! The sauna was large enough to comfortably fit 3 people and it was nice and hot. Fire was great and easy to light, kitchen facilities also good too. Pretty good location, about 15 mins to the supermarket and 20 to the pub. Also the tiles are heated in the bathroom which was a very welcome extra

Only a couple slightlyy annoying things - we all had to make our own bed (with non fitted sheets ☹️), the loft bed gets insanelyyy hot and the mattresses slide around up there, and the front door lock is a bit hard to work out. No deal breakers though!

The perfect escape

The cabins ‘feel’ remote, a great escape to unplug and just be surrounded by nature - but the town, activities and everything you could want are a short walk away. It is clear a great deal of care has been taken to ensure guests have every comfort they could wish for. The cabin was spotlessly clean, cozy and well equipped.

Lovely athmosphete, beautiful building.

The cottage itseself was beatiful and room order very nice and how it was located. Very easy to come and stay, lock box etc, very flexible.

The upper bunk bed was a bit narrow and hard to enter. Sauna didnt heat up very much and hot water was too limited for four persons.

The cabins themselves are really nice—much nicer than I expected.

Although linens are listed among the amenities on the host's booking.com page, they were only provided for two out of six of the guests in our group.

Beauiful, cozy stay

This was the best stay on our trip. The house is wooden, beautiful and very conveniently located. The key is stored in a key box. We had a fire place, a sauna, and a small third room that you had to climb some steep stairs to get to. The house is one of twelve houses located next to each other, however, we haven't noticed the other visitors, apart from the time everyone stepped outside for some aurora watching. The appartment complex is right north of Saariselkä. You could walk to the national park in under half an our or drive for 5 minutes. We haven't met the host as everything was handeled digitally. The process made a well organized impression.

Nothing really. Just to mention, one of the fuses blew every time you switched on the portable heater. Wasn't a problem for us as it was quite warm (-3 to +3) when we were there but might be an inconvenience during colder days, especially as the wood logs for the fire place are rationed (I believe you can get more under the bench on the porch).

A must experience in Laplands

Located in a small jungle of pine trees. Real log cabin with fire place and sauna. Very cosy.

The upper level of bed is too high without a ladder, difficult to climb. Too small for a single bed.

🌠Magic in the forest

Loved the cabin! Went beyond what I expected! Clean, warm, sauna, comfy beds. Communication with staff very good. They turned off the lights of my (empty) neighbor cabin and I got to take great pictures of a solarstorm with Northern lights! Location is excellent.

Actually there wasn't anything not to like. Maybe a check on the water faucet in the kitchen (leaking a bit). For people like me with a car heater: take a longer cord with you👌. I had to pull some tight moves with my 2,5m. But that's not a complaint. Just a tip.

Yeepee! Very very beautiful and well kept cabin!

The cabin was extremely cozy with a winter wonderland view. Played with the thick snow outside our cabin. Cabin also has all the appliances you need and the staffs were very helpful. And we managed to see northern lights on our very last night in the cabin.

The ski bus doesn’t depart/stop at that location (only upon request), so had to walk everywhere (activities, supermarket, restaurants). Fortunately everything is around 10-15mins walking distance

Comfortable but would have expected better cleanliness and facilities.

The property was in a good location, lovely to look at and spacious.

We quickly ran out of wood for the fire and had to phone 3 times over two days before any was delivered. There were no fire lighters in the lodge so we had to go to the local petrol station to buy them. That was fine but you would think you would be left with one or two for when you arrive. The bathroom floor was filthy, covered in hairs and dirt from the shower. We mopped ourselves and wore flip flops when using the shower. We had two lodges and in one of them the dishwasher was broken. The lodges need some TLC and general maintenance.

Definitely good value

The Lodge itself was fabtae, however, the heating was a little hit and miss in places and there weren't any firelighters or kindling to start a fire when we arrived. LOTS of wood was provided though so five stars on that front. Layout and facilities were ample for the location Sauna great View of Northern lights from lodge park amazing

Relaxing experince in very beautiful snow landscape and wild nature.

Location on walk distance to ski tracks, shops and restaurants. Area was mostly occupied by families and was very silent and relaxing. We came by bus from Rovaniemi and were able to walk from the bus stop to the cottage. The wooden foot stool in sauna was broken during our stay, but was replaced with a new one very quickly when asked for. Easy to contact and get service.

The kitchen was little underperforming with one door missing from a cupboard leaving a little uggly impression. One of cupboards was filled with leftover non-perishable food stuff from many earlier stays. Some people might appreciate having such stuff - we do not. Kitchen area could have been better cleaned up. Bathroom/sauna floor was totally cold and could not be heated. Cottage has many sleeping places, but in relation to amount of sleeping places the kitchen area with one small table and two benches was rather small to fit all eating at same time (for us two it was no problem).

Awesome, Amazing and beauty of mesmerising Northern Lights.

Everything was just perfect, Elena and Eugene were very helpful and they helped us with Northern Lights and Huski Rides. The cabin was very well stuffed with laundry, utensils and all necessary stuff. The sauna was amazing.

the cleaniness totally ruined the whole stay which is sad

have private sauna, shower room was clean.

The bed and the duvet were so dirty with lots of hair and as a result, some bites are visible on my friend’s skin. even though we added the 15 euro bed linen per person, but friend got skin allergy on his hands and feet right after sleeping for one night, with many red dots and feel itchy on his skin. I didnt have the allergy just because I didnt use and touch the duvet at all and I wore socks and long sleeves to fully cover myself. Shampoo and shower gel were both empty, didnt get refilled at all but we are okay since we can use our own.

excellent location. super value for money. the price for the property is very good. our first stay in lof house - kids and family loved the cabin. we asked for extra linens at a cost of 15euros, which was necessary. the upper deck was warm without any heater which was very good. the kitchen facilities were excellent. the parking in front of house was very comfortable supermarket is walking distance; very close to ski lift the communication with host was seamless. after entering house we had difficulty in understanding how to use heater and mantlepiece - we called and immediately they sent someone and he checked and explained everything if ever i come to saariselka again, i will definitely stay here if this is available at the same price :)

we stayed in cabin 8. In one of the bedrooms, the heater was not heating up the room well enough through the night despite keeping at warmest temperature. nights in that room was freezing make the room unsuable for kids. the second bedroom was ok.

Very pleasant, but needs bit more care/maintenance.

The atmosphere is great, the staff is nice and very accommodating/available, the self cater option is nice since you have no restrictions or time frames for meals, you just plan yourself and live it day by day. The provate sauna is a +++.

The property was not very clean, mattresses and pillows were mostly stained with yellow areas and full of hair. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. however was pur choice to use our own and not ask them to refill it. No major issues, but a bit disappointed because with a bit more cleanliness and small maintenance/adjustments the place could be a 10/10.

Really disappointed, I booked this a very long time ago, when was the 15euro for bed linen introduced? No one sent me an email, we turned up to no towels or bed linen. Why separate it? Just include it in the price. Dishes were chipped (quite a few!), only 3 forks, six of us staying. The two small rooms were cold, the heater in one room kept tripping the electrics so that room was hard to keep warm. The plates and dishes were not clean but had been put away, (worked out this was probably due to the dishwasher not cleaning the plates as it was rubbish) worth noting there is no cooker. No tea towel to dry dishes. Just needs an overhaul in the kitchen area. The wood burning stove has glass missing. The directions to the cabin need to be clearer, we followed to the property address which takes you to a different cabin. What's most frustrating is it wouldn't take much to make this fantastic, it's such a shame as I wanted it to be so nice.

The cabin is well equiped. The kitchen contains everything you need in my opinion. It was a 10 minute walk to the city center, the way is gorgeous. There's a Sauna which I didn't use. The cabin is warm the beds are comfortable. All in all my stay as a solo traveler was great. Maria was awesome, responsive and attentive

I think Shampoo is missing. For the price it can definitely be added. Regarding the the bed linen, it should be stated that it cost 15 EUR.
