Everything. This standalone property is governed by a Sami family. It is located just by the road and the near the Lemmenjoki river. The place is in “wilderness” but provides utmost luxury. Sauna, patio, super well equipped kitchen, fireplace, snow shoes, spacious living room - I loved it. On top of it owner is super friendly and helpful - at checkin she personally showed us all the necessary required details for the property.
Bonus - it possible to buy reindeer meat from the farm. There is also a very good local restaurant with in 500 - 600 m serving delicious local food. All the walking trails are located nearby. Saw northern lights.
Wish to return again.

Absolutely superb accommodation! A small cottage with everything you need, hidden in an Arctic forest by a lake (with a rowboat at your disposal). You can spend days here without meeting anyone, completely immersed in the beautiful landscape. And above all, an amazing sauna! My philosophy is that life is too short to return to the same places, but this is one of the few I’d gladly come back to again – and my whole family agrees. 😊

Nice to be near the water, also nice it had a boat, even though we didn’t use it. Beautiful view. It was clean and well equipped.
Too small for 4 persons, quite remote (over 50 km to closest shop)
