Good location but unclean and damp

Very good location right in the centre of the town. Large space with decent sized bed and furniture.

The flat had cleanliness and damp issues. The wall outside the bathroom was completely sodden and damp and inside the shower there was mould. The bathroom also smelt of damp which leeched into the whole flat. The dishes in the kitchen were not clean - when we told the owner about this they suggested we had used them ourselves already and forgotten! Several of the plug sockets didn’t work in the bedroom which was quite annoying. WiFi was terrible and very slow - not even enough to open a web page. I think this could be a really nice flat if the damp was resolved and the flat was properly cleaned between stays.

Good

Easy access to the key! The apartment is close to the beach and restaurants. Nice bench and tree outside the apartment. It was very quiet during night, though we traveled off season (It might be noisy during high season, restaurants and bars are nearby). It was a short (7-10 minutes) and beautiful walk to the train station (easy to travel along the coast). I would likely stay again in Villefranche sur Mer (though probably not in this apartment).

No paper towels or kitchen towels. No garbage bag in the bathroom trash and only one garbage bag was provided for the kitchen. 4 people, we spent 5 days in this apartment. No one stopped by to empty the trash, provide toilet paper etc. So if you stay longer be prepared to buy some stuff (which should be provided). As a general recommendation: an entry coat hanger would be helpful and definitely some maps/ visitors info would be greatly appreciated by the visitors!

fine but wouldn’t recommend

the location was the best thing about this property. It was clean and newly furnished.

the communication with the host / company was disappointing, I asked the same question three times. Asked a couple of other questions which never got responses. The facilities were not great, no salt or pepper (I feel that should be a minimum), no chopping knives or board, no tea towel for drying dishes so the kitchen situation wasn’t superb. There is no con and no fans are provided which is a massive negative. It was this that I had to ask about (fans) three times before I got a response. Fans aren’t expensive I would suggest that the host gets some fans because this is was such a hot apartment which was unbearable to sit in. It’s also worth noting it is quite loud since you have to sleep with the windows open and the apartment in so central.

There was no fan or air conditioning. It is an old building so AC is understandable, but in the 35°+ heat and especially at night it made living very uncomfortable.

Everything was wonderful. Villefranche-sur-Mer is wonderful. So much better than Nice to stay at. You have everything you need there.

The only drawback was that the washing machine was not working. The apartment has no AC but it was not too warm inside. It was ok to sleep at night with the windows open.

Arnaque - Murs moisis par dégâts des eaux depuis des mois; appartement sale - A EVITER!

ENGLISH-FRENCH REVIEW BELOW: Moisissures dues à des fuites d'eaux de la salle bain. Dangereux car les fuites d'eau se propagent sur une prise électrique. Aiguille à coudre trouvée dans le canapé-lit! Trous et fissures dans tous les murs. Odeurs générales malsaines due aux moisissures. Toiles d'araignées qui pendent du plafond. Électricité qui ne fonctionne pas partout. Climatisation qui ne marche pas. Internet inexistant. Vu les revues précédentes le propriétaires est au courant et ne fait rien. Le titre de l'annonce "SUPERBE APPARTEMENT" est une belle arnaque - fuyez à tout prix! Mold due to water leaks in the bathroom. Dangerous because the water leaks spread to an electrical outlet. Sewing needles found in the sofa bed! Holes and cracks in all the walls. General unhealthy odors due to mold. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Electricity not working everywhere. Air conditioning not working. Non-existent internet. Given previous reviews, the owners are aware of this and are doing nothing. The ad title "SUPERB APARTMENT" is a complete scam - avoid at all costs.

Localização ! Perfeita! Perto dos melhores restaurantes. Perto do mar…

O ar condicionado não funcionou durante toda minha estadia. Foram dias e noites de muito calor. Quando avisei, queriam me cobrar para enviar um técnico. Me ofereceram um ventilador. A internet também não funcionou por todo o período em que estive no apartamento (consequentemente a Tv também não). Paredes com muita infiltração, umidade extrema e um cheiro insuportável de mofo.
