The location was great for local transport links. The apartment was attractive and on a quiet street with a great view of the castle. The apartment contained lots of activities (books & games) as well as a well equipped kitchen.
The supplied towels were as rough as sandpaper. The double bed was hard, so a mattress topper would have been welcome. I emailed the owner prior to booking to ask about the parking & received no reply. If it hadn't been for my son's disabled badge the parking costs would have very expensive. After arriving, we contacted the agent regarding the parking, but his text reply was not helpful.

Great space, very comfortable and spacious. Kitchen has all the equipment you could need! Convenient that a bus stop is right at the end of the road, and a big Tesco a close walk away. Bigger than expected and we really enjoyed our stay. Nice to be in a neighborhood but close enough by bus right into the middle of town. Good water pressure and enough hot water for the shower.
The heating was effective in the house except for the back bedroom where our daughter slept - it was a very cold room and she woke coughing. The heating also made quite a bit of noise as the boiler is in that bedroom, but luckily she slept through that (although we didn't!).

The property was clean & comfortable. Good location, about 30 minutes walk to the city centre, or 5 minutes to the bus stop outside Botanic Gardens, 10 minutes walk to Tesco for supplies and about an hour walk to the Royal Yacht Britannia along the National Cycle Route & then catch the tram back into the city.
The twin beds are more suited to children & the boiler is noisy.

The location was great. The living room with city views fantastic!
We travelled as two friends, that is why we wanted to have two separate rooms. The room with the twin beds is more for kids - very uncomfortable, cold and just not nicely furnished. The bathroom sink was clogged. Altogether the rooms didn’t felt clean enough. We obviously didn’t understand how to work the thermostat. So the heating would stop and the rooms got cold. We understand that Edinburgh is not a cheap place - but the accommodation was not worth the money we paid for.
