Lovely house that caters well for groups but a single combined toilet and shower might not be ideal

The house is very good for group stays. Can't fault its cleanliness. It has comfortable beds and just about everything you'd need. The area it is in is good (but be aware that Shirehampton is further out of Bristol itself if that's important for you - but well served by the Park & Ride or Railway station). Check in and check out was straightforward. Patricia was responsive to a question we had about recycling.

A single combined shower/toilet is a limitation (and a detail you might not immediately spot when browsing). We found the heating just about OK but the house was on the colder side (with stern messages about adjusting the boiler). The house is currently clad in scaffolding but this didn't cause us any issues. Biggest negative would be the many notices and warnings that don't make you feel welcome - for example, the hosts threaten a £100 'fine' for breakages that isn't mentioned anywhere until you arrive.

Not very enjoyable

It was a nice tidy place close to some nearby shops

We were greeted unannounced by the owner on our arrival she began to demand money for a deposit that was never previously stated, or written in the notes/important info. We followed up with customer service and they confirmed we didn’t need to pay what she was demanding. She kept mentioning we will get £250 fines for clean up or for breaking something, she was quite hostile towards us and we didn’t really feel comfortable. Even though we are respectful and were only in the accomodation for breakfast and came back later to sleep, we were constantly worried about having a pay a fine. I have never had this experience with any host on booking.com for the last 6 years, this is a first for me .

Great weekend in Bristol for 10 adults

The house was better than the pictures, with some lovely decor and interesting plants about the place. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were also clean and well equipped (including toiletries available to use in the bathroom, dishwasher tablets available, etc). The house was in a quiet location outside of Bristol but it was an easy 10 min walk to Shirehampton station to get the train in and out of Bristol. We were 10 adults and had plenty of room in the house. The house strongly encouraged recycling of waste into the different bins which we appreciated.

The only thing that would have made this house slightly more comfortable is a second bathroom (or at least a second toilet). Although - we managed the bathroom queues for 10 adults quite well!
