Do some research before, also pictures can be deceiving.

I liked the fact that the accommodation had a pool and it was on the beach, but that was about it. The hotel is outdated and needs to have some insect control done. It really could be an awesome place and has a lot of potential to be excellent, but they need to improve and put some effort in it. It was also really close to everything: restaurants, bars, shops, markets etc. Loved the ladies who ran the massage service there and also some staff members were friendly, helpful and polite (some (I'm guessing the owner lady?) were not and seemed annoyed when asked something).

Pictures on here are quite deceiving. Our room included tiny ants and the bathroom floor was dirty. So all the food had to be kept in the fridge. Also I bought some cleaning supplies, so I could properly clean windows, mirror and toilet and bathroom floor. We had spoons there which were bent and dirty, even though they were in a bag which read "sanitized for your protection". Didn't have a proper storage place so our stuff was kind of just all over the place. Breakfast was included. On the first day my son and my partner got a really bad food poisoning after eating there. The rest of the time we just ate the "safe food" after that and were terrified to eat there.

Unwelcoming host

Positives include great location, masseuses on site, and nice cleaning staff. Our fly net in our room window had a hole and had been patched up with a plastic bag which was falling away when we arrived, so I asked for it to be re patched which they did with additional netting, so that was also a positive. Honest bike rental prices.

If the host was hospitable and warm my rating may be better but she was not nice at all. Terrible attitude. Our bedsheets felt like they’d been washed in chalk, cupboard smelt like mould and breakfast is cold and awful. The resort is ran down and worn out. Plumbing is also loud and bathroom occasionally smelt. Green mould around outskirt of pool as well, otherwise looked cleaned.

Great quiet place with unique sea front rooms.

The seaview room is truly at the beach with the water coming just about as close as it could. The room comes with both a shaded and non shaded terrace, great for an evening with the sound of waves. The location is great for families, as there aren't noisy parties at night and the beach gentle slopes into gradually deeper water (unlike long beach which is immediately deep). Services such as laundry and tour booking, as well as airport shuttle were all affordable and convenient, with local competition generally not offering better prices (except the restaurant, see below). We could use diving goggles and snorkels for free, as well as beach towels fresh every day.

We had breakfast included and booked a room for 2 adults and an almost 3 year old. They said breakfast was only for the adults. Food, including breakfast if not included in the room, seems overpriced for what it is and we did not try it for this reason - there are plenty other options right nearby. It is worth noting that further down the island it seems things are generally more affordable.

Very chill. Great location. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Best beds in Thailand. Wonderful beach. Scooter hire. Mermaid Bar (next door) is a great spot. Awesome cocktails and massage. My home in Koh Lanta for 3 weeks 🙏

Nice place right next to the beach for a good price.

Actually you enter from the swimming pool area to the beach. The place is quite enough but anyway I struggle with sleeping. It was raining whole our staying so didn't reach the potential of this place. I believe staying here during sunny days must be perfect. Staff was very kind, the restaurant above reception doesn't serve alcohol but there are plenty other restaurant on the beach. There is a quite spacey terrace next to the room.

I would appreciate more space to keep our clothes and staff. At the bathroom were small ants around the sink.

Relaxing beachfront oasis

A stunning oasis right on the beach! This place offers relaxation, kind vibes from the staff, and beachfront access. Every morning, I swam in the ocean, journaled by the pool, and had a few massages on the beach for sunset. The room is very comfortable with views of the ocean, you can rent scooters directly from the home owner, and it's very centrally located to shops and restaurants. I would stay here again anytime!!

Thee room was spacious and comfortable, the balcony area was nice and could actually see the beach which was a total unexpected bonus (normally beach view rooms cost more, but this felt like a beach view unexpected surprise and bonus)

I always prefer when i have a key card for entry, but i'm also completely understanding that not every hotel on lanta has the capital or drive to set up the mor expensive locking systems etc, so no harm no foul really

Great location on the beach and close to restaurants, supermarket etc. Nice big pool. Good size room with good air conditioning. Helpful hosts who were great at assisting us with all our arrangements while we were staying

Everything about this place was terrible. The ants in the rooms on arrival, the worst food I’ve ever come across, the cost for the worst accommodation we've stayed in. Avoid and spend your money in the many other places moments away that are wonderful. Having the lady and her family who run this hell hole talk negatively in their language about you whilst you’re standing right there is just so unpleasant, but honestly the accommodation, price and food were more unpleasant. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough and left early. Wifi was appalling.

Lovely beachfront location with very helpful staff

Fantastic beachfront location with nice pool as well - some good food walking distance and also a short taxi ride to other areas. Rooms were big and had a little balcony. Bed was very hard but helpful staff got us a mattress topper which made a huge difference!

Beautiful beach side location

Pool area is lovely, with a gorgeous view out onto the beach. It’s one of the nicer beach areas, much less crowded and was almost deserted when I was there which was a nice change. Many nice bars and restaurants that you can walk to, straight onto the beach or up to the main road.

A local family run resort. Friendly but quite standard.

Prime beach location (sunbeds and umbrellas were not right on the beach but just above it at the pool area, but some of them anyway facing the sea.) Nice restaurant above the beach level and overlooking the beach. Nice and helpful staff,familiar atmosphere. 7-eleven right across the road some 200 mts away. Several restaurants nearby. Easy to get a local taxi. Quiet day and night. No noises. No parties. Beautiful garden.

Room B2, (only fan), the balcony was great, large and with 2 chairs and 1 table but it doesn't offer any privacy at all. I had to keep always the curtains closed because the neighbours were way too close. In one occasion I hang the "make up my room" sign. When I returned back in the afternoon the door was open .( I guess the housekeeping didn't close it properly) No valuables were missing , luckily.

the view from the room was amazing.

for that price i would expect a bit better facilities.. (we booked double room with a sea view).. the room is ok, the teracce is ok, the view is marvelous, but the place itself its a bit messy (would be otherwise ok, but for westeren prices i would expect western standards). breakfast is not freshly made.. the eggs are staying there the whole day

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. It's on the quiet part of the beach but only a short walk from more restaurants. Food in the restaurant is very good, lovely breakfast. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The swimming pool was also beautiful and clean. This hotel is absolutely perfect for families. We hope to come back again!

Bed was a bit uncomfortable and hard. Restaurant closed quite early, but it wasn't a big problem since there is a planty of other options around. Hot water in the shower was a bit difficult to adjust to the right temperature.

Lovely place to stay

Beautiful little hotel, right on the beach. Lovely pool, with plenty of sunbeds. Very helpful staff, they were able to book trips, advise on forward travel etc. Loved walking the full length of the beach in the early mornings, and then watching the sunset in the evening. Great restaurant for evening meals almost next door - the VR Restaurant.

the stay at the beach was very nice. Big pretty room with a nice sunset view and good airconditioning. the employees are very friendly and they book good & affordable tours for you if you want to go some places.

we started our stay in the cheaper room without the sea view. The ventilator in the room made such a noise and there was another electricity beep-sound from outside, could not get a good sleep because of this sound. Also the matrass was very hard, we did not liked it. We explained our rough night (because of the noise and matrass) to the friendly enployees and we upgraded to the beachfront room, we’ve gotten a discount so that was nice. the matrass there was softer and there was a normal airconditioning device that didn’t make a huge noise.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lanta Garden Home. The staff (all the sisters) are incredibly nice and very accommodating. It felt nice and homely. It a quiet place just in front of the beach - which is just what what we wanted. There is a good stretch of beach there for walking, swimming etc.

Big room with the sea right in front of us. Good AC, very fast Wifi. Thanks to Covid: we were the only guests and had the whole resort and pool for ourself. So it was very quiet and relaxing.
