The location is within 8 mins of the Showground Great Price - very fair indeed Welcoming and down to earth Staff Along with an excellent restaurant

The rooms are spacious but need bedside cabinets beside the beds (some rooms have this - some don’t and a method to switch lights on/off from the bed and a shelf for wash gear in the showers.

Comfy and quiet stay.

No breakfast but use of restaurant from 5pm. Very nice menu at reasonable prices. Adequate parking opposite rooms.

Damp spots in shower area. Bedside lamp didn't work.sockets hidden behind furniture. No breakfast.

Very convenient for a local wedding reception

It was very convenient to a venue we were attending for a wedding. The room was very big with a large bathroom. Tea and coffee was also provided.

I did send a message asking if we could have an early checking as we were attending a wedding but no one replied. I then rang to ask but was told it was not possible!! No breakfast was on offer. A fridge could be put in the room so that cereal, yoghurt etc could be offered.

Room too warm on arrival (not something I'd normally complain about - I'm in my 60s). I dealt with this myself just turned off the heating. Unlike many hotels you could do this - you were able to do this yourself.

Great hotel for Visits to Newark and Kelham Hall.

Spacious room with two very comfy double beds. Room was lovely and warm too You can park right opposite the room.

The room need updating, the shower was an experience I never want to relive. Shower and taps are an experience. Sower leaked and flooded the bathroom. Needs updating. Bed was uncomfortable portable radiator missing a wheel.

Great size room and bathroom.

The bathroom sink was a bit grotty and the silicone on the bath was black. Main issue was the bed which was so hard we woke up with back ache. The wall lights didn't work so it was either the main light or nothing meaning when my child was in bed we were too

Worst stay

Location.

Worst stay due to damp smell. When notified about it,the manager he wasnt made aware of the issue. And offered to cancel the room and refund. Where do you go on a Saturday night with 2 toddlers?? Next offer was to pop in after 9.30pm to restaurant and he will offer 50% off the bill. Do you really think that we gonna eat from there and that too on a time slot which they select. Issue in the room looks like an ongoing thing. Picrures attached will justify that. A big hole in the bathroom which is just covered with a tile. Not sure if they are legally covered to sell these rooms with such conditions.

Lovely accommodation, on site restaurant is spot on!

Have stayed at Ashiana on a number of occasions now. This time stayed in room 6 (photos were taken as we were leaving 🙈) Has been modernised again since our last stay - new beds, furniture and TV. The restaurant is a must!!! Staying and eating at the restaurant is our twice yearly treat.

Brought my own so not an issue but they used to leave a complimentary shower gel / shampoo which they no longer do.

The price and the restaurant

The bathroom smelled strongly of stagnant water which made the bedroom smell too. The toilet seat was broken, the mirror was cracked and the towel rail was hanging off the wall. The bed sheets had stains and the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.
