Swallows End - Apartment with hot tub, sauna and pool (Dartmoor)

Had hier en daar wat beter gestofzuigd & gestoft kunnen worden.

Beautiful location. fully furnished, lovely complimentary tea/coffee/ arrival wine. very clean and comfortable furnishings. Hot tub/ gardens/swimming pool. wi-fi.

would have like larger windows allowing natural daylight/ felt a bit enclosed. the upstairs apartment had a larger courtyard and larger windows allowing a better view.

We met the family when we arrived as we were a bit early but they were very lovely and receptive and allowed us in a little bit earlier than arranged which helped to start filling uk the hot tub.

It was all fabulous we had an amazing stay, And we would love to thank the family very much.

The property is lovely, great location, easy enough to find but out of the way so the evenings were peaceful. Great ammenities, coffee machine, hot tub, robes, etc. The pool and sauna area are to a very high standard.

Not the amount of privacy we expected, below another apartment and joined onto what i can only assume is the owners property. Not enough was supplied for the length of the stay, we were staying for 4 nights and were only provided with 4 coffee pods for two of us. The wood fired hot tub must be filled on arrival and then the burner lit to heat it, this in total took nearly 4 hours. The majority of the pontoon lights surrounding the hottub didn’t work, again this is advertised as luxury accomodation, yet a little thing like that is left not working. The accomodation is professionally cleaned but yet on departure they request that a list of tasks are carried out, we would never leave a mess but we come away to get away from all the home stresses and chores, but yet found our selves cleaning. One of the requests on the list is that the BBQ is cleaned after use as this is not cleaned by the cleaners, on arrival we found the BBQ filthy and the fat tray below full, this meaning we could not use the BBQ the duration of our stay, things like this should be checked by the owners of the property. The pool and sauna are a part of the owners property and we personally didn’t feel comfortable enough to use the facilites as they are in close proximity to the owners living room, although this is just personal preference.
