Basic inexpensive accommodation
Very basic but great location near bus/train stations. Downhill walk to Bournemouth Square.

Quiet, clean, basic accommodations
The place had good security and it made me feel safe while in the building. I also appreciate that they have a front desk person on duty both day and night. The room was clean and for the most part it was super quiet. It was close to the train station. There are a number of fast-food restaurants and small markets near by. I have previously stayed in student housing (at a different location) and the fires alarms were going off all the time. I’m more than pleased too announce that they never once went off here… at least while I was in the building. This maybe because the kitchens were not in use.
The location is farther from the beach and center of town than I would have liked. You will be doing a ton of walking or taking the bus from this location. Note about the surrounding area: I saw a few individuals mingle around buildings not in use close by. Additionally, I saw some individuals approach students in my building about purchasing illegal substances. They never bothered me, but I did my best to avoid them.. With school out for the summer, they may have been attracted to the empty buildings in the area. This made me come back earlier in the evenings than I would have liked a few nights as I worried about walking around the area alone after dark. There isn’t a refrigerator for you to use. It would have been nice to have access to one and a microwave as I got tired of eating at the fast-food locations close by. The photos online of the room show it furnished with colorful blankets and decor. The room has none of these items. I think that it would be better to photograph the room with the bedding and towels that they provide. Note: They also only provide enough soap to one or showers. I had to purchase additional soap and toilet paper my stay.

In a good position, clean flat.
When I arrived I had no bedding and towels, but the reception sorted it for me. The picture they sent me of the outside of the building, so I knew where to go, didn't look like the outside of the building. The door and sign were different

The room was very unclean and I have subsequently made a complaint. It had not been cleaned properly since that last guest, the sink did not drain, the window was broken. At least there were clean sheets. The forms for checking in and out were excessive, and the size of the room not good.

OK, but could do better
Location was good and the access fob worked well.
I understand that this is normally student accommodation, however, it is in competition with budget end apartments and hotels and i have critiqued it on that basis.
A big drawback here is that there is NO on site presence to deal with issues and problems; you have to use email and chat and that doesn't work at all.
I arrived for a 3 day stay and immediately noticed that I had no waste bin, despite one being advertised on the website and I had half a toilet roll (wouldn't last a day let alone 3). I was advised at reception to contact who I booked with, or guest365, who let out the apartments during non term time. I contacted booking.com customer service and got the usual we'll contact you within 24 hrs spiel - they didn't. I emailed the guest365 contact twice and received no response and used the contact the property communication 4 times in my booking.com account. The property even asked me twice if my stay was OK via this method, and asked if they could do anything, yet they completely ignored my requests. So, the rubbish is piling up on the table and I had to get creative regards the toilet roll.
There is no cup or glass provided to drink from here. There is no kettle, no TV (i can probably forgive them that). There are no hangers in the wardrobe to hang your clothes, and the floor in my room clearly hadn't seen a brush or mop for a while. You get provided one little hotel type shower gel which is good for 1 or perhaps 2 showers, but I was here for 3 days (how about soap dispensers in the showers which they can leave empty when students are here?). There is no aircon or fan, and it was sweltering. You can open the window, which helps a little, but then let's noise in - not much good for trying to sleep. Especially on sat night when there was a party going on in a room on level 5 (one above me) and directly opposite.

the customer service was really poor, this is a student accommodation house, it is not a hotel, it is not apartments. The room I was put on didn't have any electricity and it was full of damp, Window did not open, so it was very uncomfortable.

A con. This wasn’t a self catering apartment.
I was able to collect the keys, but the host wasn’t able to explain how the oven / stove worked. He didn’t explain where to leave the rubbish (the day before check out you’re messaged telling you you must remove all rubbish! He didn’t explain the WiFi, the common area location and access (I.e. somewhere where the microwaves are more easy to operate).
I booked this place because I wanted an apartment, self catering. I paid more than a hotel room for this, but as I was not able to figure out how to use the oven / stove (and the host simply shrugged and said he couldn’t figure his own out) I basically paid for a room - with construction work taking place outside the window. A hotel would have been much cheaper.

The greeter was very helpful and welcoming. The set up of the apartment with ensuite bedrooms and shared kitchen suited our needs and is really good value especially as we had single people in our party.
There was no washing up liquid provided. The TV had a very poor signal and wasn't watchable. Only 1 lift working at start of our stay but the 2nd lift was fixed after the first day. Difficult to drop off luggage when we arrived, we had elderly people in our party and carrying luggage from the car park wasn't feasible, we managed it but did accidentally block some people in! Struggled to find nice places to eat nearby.

The apartment was clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
Didn't realise it was a student accommodation setting when booked so felt a bit out of place. The views were not impressive as it was just building. Shouldn't be available for travellers for 1st visit as did not feel like a tourist setting.

Clean and functional rooms, good value and located a short taxi ride from the beach and attractions.
This is probably an age thing! (I'm 55) but the rooms are normally for students at the town's university. Of course, it makes perfect sense to rent them out when most are away on summer holiday. However, not all; and there was a lot of noise at night. I was young once...but the partying until 5am, including various "Interpretations" of Ed Sheeran "classics" in the concourse down below didn't allow any sleep. It was hot so the window had to be open meaning a miserable night. I bought a fan and earplugs the next day...and it became more bearable. I must stress the accommodation, value for money and staff were first class. However, those looking for a quieter life on holiday may be disappointed.

the location was great but not close to the beach its is like 20mi walk

we were looking for a nice apartment to feel like home, and that place made me feel like a prison

The location is perfect, it’s right by the town centre! The apartment was amazing I was shocked at the facilities they have for the price we paid!! It was an amazing stay!!

Aesthetically pleasing.. everything else was bad !
Good location re shops and beach
- No individual room keys
- Shower drains were blocked
- 3 smart TVs in the common room and none of them worked (could not watch England game)
- Only 1 toilet roll.. when asked for more we were told there’s none left.
- Only 1 lift operational
- Rooms weren’t ready when we arrived and when they were a few rooms had no pillows.
There were 17 guests in total and as you can imagine a group of this size experiencing these issues did not go down well.

Das die Handtücher keine Aufhänger haben und es nicht mal Becher zum Zähneputzen gab, von fehlendem Geschirr ganz zu schweigen. Man müßte sich wenigstens ein Frühstück machen können, dazu ist nicht viel Zubehör nötig.
