Sapphire Suite

It was a great apartment overall. I really liked that we had the kitchen, bathroom and living room to ourselves. There was a lot of autonomy compared to hotels. We could cook ourselves and there were readily available utensils and pots for us to use. Very convenient.

This didn’t bother us too much but there was a lot of noise coming from other flats upstairs and downstairs. It didn’t bother us but could see how it could bother some others especially lighter sleepers. The one thing that did bother us was the very slow WiFi. We needed it to search around the area, sometimes even to watch Instagram clips of the surrounding areas (for food and places to visit) and of course to post our lovely stories!

The location is spot on and is this apartments key selling feature. Clean enough and the bed was comfortable.

Kitchen and bathroom felt a little tired but clean nevertheless. For £300+ you expect a little more in the way of toiletries as there were none, not even a pint of milk in the fridge for a cup of tea. There were long life milk sachets but I suspect this is to prevent the need for restocking fresh items. There is a lot of competition in Barmouth so this place needs to earn its high price point which for me it doesn’t.
