Castle in the Chianti, near Siena, nice location, quiet
These holiday apartments in Tuscany are part of an estate situated in the Chianti Classico area, just 13 km from Siena, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in a peaceful place far from the traffic and bustle.
The origins of the Castle date back to 1070, but following the battles between Siena and Florence it had to be rebuilt various times.
The property consists of 20 self-catering accommodations,located in three of the farmhouses.
At 250 mt from the Castle, these holiday flats are situated around the swimming-pool.
On the estate, guests have access to the wine-tasting hall, where together with the wines one can also savour the vin santo and olive oil produced by the estate.
On the grounds, besides the swimming-pool (15x7 mt, open from May to October), there is also a gazebo and a barbecue.
Furthermore, on the estate there is also a little chapel which can be used for private ceremonies.
Other facilities: internet connection at the reception.
These holiday homes in Chianti are in an ideal location for all those seeking peace and quiet but also a perfect point of departure for visiting the beautiful attractions of this incredible region as well as most Tuscan art centres such as Siena, San Gimignano (40 km),Volterra and Montalcino ( both at 55 km), Pienza and Montepulciano (both at 70 km) as well as Florence. The nearest village to the estate is Vagliagli, at 5 km, where one can find shops and restaurants.
