A beautiful, warm and welcoming stay with kind and helpful hosts. Wish I was back there!

This was my favourite part of the trip, the hosts were so welcoming and warm-hearted. My partner and I were made to feel like we were really welcome and wanted us to be there enjoying their incredible views, great BBQ, pool, and well looked after apartment. We sat by the pool for our whole time, drinking wine, eating caprese and watching the bee-eaters by day, and hummingbird moths and fireflies by night. Bring enough stuff for your stay as you probably won't want to leave!

It's fairly difficult to get a taxi, so book in advance if coming from Volterra! Although the walk isn't too far from town, it's up and down and with a suitcase can be a little slow going. But, that said, it's a beautiful walk through the Tuscan countryside.

A perfect location for touring Tuscany or relaxing

Peaceful location with fabulous views from a really beautiful garden with a small pool. The house was well equipped and clean with provision of basic supplies and home-made olive oil a welcome addition. The hosts were charming and helpful. Some reviews mention the access road - it was absolutely no problem, with a little care, even in a larger vehicle. A very short drive from Volterra or about 30-40 minutes pleasant walk.

The owner of the casa was such a sweet lady! We truly felt at home. She thought of everything, even of some toasts with Nutella or marmelade. It was one of the most complete houses we have every stayed in.

Very friendly and hospitable "signor e signora", waiting for us to give keys and explain everything. Accessible coffee machine, coffee tablets, bisquits, some basic food for free. Quite nice place, quiet, in the vegetation and very close to town at the same time, beautifull view to the landscape in sunset.

Superb

The appartment was quite close to Volterra, about 30-40mins up to the hill and back down the hill. It is located in an absolutelly quiet place in green hills. The house is surrounded by a lot of flowers and suculents outside, there´s a pool so you can relax ba the water there. There are 2 flats for accomodation and one neighbours, so not so many people in one place. The houslord and houselady were very pleasant, observant, attentative and nice, every day they came and ask if everything is OK. In there appartament there was everything for everyday use in the kitchen and even more. Thank you!

The driveway is not in a good condition, so just for anybody to know and take it as a fact.

Fantastico Francesca and Daniel.

Everything was brilliant. Francesca the owner collected us from Volterra and took us to the house. We didn't hire a car. And her lovely husband Daniel took us back to Pisa. We wished we had booked a longer stay. The scenery whilst we ate and drank in the shade was fabulous. And when we became too hot we could jump into their lovely pool.

I loved everything but you do need to hire a car to make life easy for yourself and to be able to get around.

Toskana Trip via Volterra

The apartment was very quiet and nice and had all what we need. There are only 2 apartments in this house. We are lucky that the first night one guest book the 1 floor apartment and we have a ground floor apartment the next day we were alone. We could use all the facilities: private swimming pool, basketball, bing pong. In the kitchen there are oil, Balsamico, salt, basilica, dishes, pans, folk and knives.

Amazing view. Would stay again

You could book it just for the amazing view. One could also eat outside with the view. Didn't get to use swimming pool, but would have loved it if we had time. Also has a net to play volleyball and table tennis. Well equipped kitchen. Very friendly. Around 10 mins by car from Volterra city center.

We absolutely loved our stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is amazing. There is a kitchen with everything you need (including home made olive oil and jam), the bathroom is clean and free parking is available. There is a large garden with multiple tables and sunbeds, a pool and a spectacular view. The place is very quite and peaceful. Would definitely recommend!

Splendido panorama a pochi minuti da Volterra

Panorama incredibile, parcheggio disponibile, appartamento fornito quasi di tutto. Diversi elettrodomestici per farsi un buon tè o caffè, la pulizia degli ambienti è molto curata e non abbiamo trovato polvere da nessuna parte, il bagno era semplice ma curato e limpido, molto meglio di tanti alberghi stellati. Abbiamo inoltre apprezzato i saponi a disposizione, la cesta di benvenuto per la colazione, i piccoli condimenti lasciati in cucina. Gli spazi esterni sono fantastici con un bellissimo giardino fiorito, la piscina, diversi angoli dove potersi rilassare o anche godere un pasto all’aperto. Volterra si trova a soli 5 minuti di macchina passando per una stradina di campagna, il che permette di fare più viaggi in una giornata, ci sono anche mappe e guide in salotto per organizzarsi. Per famiglie che viaggiano con figli piccoli ci sono anche giochi per bambini, si può dire che il tutto è pensato per farti sentire a casa e il benvenuto. Abbiamo apprezzato anche la possibilità di fare un check-in leggermente anticipato rispetto all’orario comunicato da Booking, e i proprietari sono facili da reperire con la messaggistica. La location in generale è molto adatta a chi vuole passeggiare nella natura o muoversi tra Volterra e gli altri paesini confinanti, quindi è un ottimo punto d’appoggio.

Mancano pochi dettagli alla struttura per essere perfetta, come l’insonorizzazione o un Wi-Fi più forte perché al piano di sotto dov’era l’appartamento prende a stento e il cellulare non prende affatto, inoltre molte casette in campagna continuano a non lasciare uno spray anti-insetti a disposizione degli ospiti, qui tra zanzare e il nido di vespe in veranda sarebbe stato utile. Non ci sono pezze per pulire, almeno noi non le abbiamo trovate, ma se uno rimane più di una notte comunque bisognerebbe metterle. Struttura a conduzione familiare, sia un pregio che un difetto. I proprietari sono persone abbastanza presenti, passano almeno una volta al giorno e sono premurosi e gentili con i propri ospiti, il che è secondo me una lama a doppio taglio perché falsa la professionalità, in primis perché non dà un senso di privacy mentre se uno prenota lontano dalla città cerca un’oasi di pace, ma poi perché si permettono di fare commenti che chi non è del settore non accetterebbe con garbo. Abbiamo viaggiato con i nostri amici pelosetti che sono stati sempre con noi tranne nelle 2-3 ore calde della giornata in cui li lasciamo dormire sorvegliandoli con la telecamerina per animali, ma evidentemente con le visite dei proprietari intorno alla casa si sono innervositi e uno di loro ha graffiato un angolo della porta. Una volta rientrati abbiamo tempestivamente avvisato e fatto di tutto per trovare una soluzione e riparare il danno, invece siamo stati accusati di aver mentito dicendo che i cani erano buoni perché abbaiavano (quale cane palesemente da difesa non abbaia quando gli si gironzola intorno e i padroni non ci sono non lo so), che non avevamo le cucce (mentre c’erano in tutte le stanze), che la pagina vieta i cani grandi e di portarne più di uno (mentre non c’è scritto e prima ancora di partire gli avevamo inviato un messaggio per chiedere se potevamo portarne due di taglia media e con quale supplemento).

Zeer lieve gastheer & gastvrouw, Heerlijke olijfolie van eigen bomen die aankoopbaar is. Merci voor de rondleiding op jullie domein.. Zwembad wordt zeer goed onderhouden. Vele ligstoelen aanwezig. Huisje heeft een veranda zodat je ook bij regenweer kan genieten van het uitzicht. Dichtbij het dorpje waar leuke restaurants en lekkere ijsjes te koop zijn.

Geen internet in de keuken of slaapkamer. Enkel in de veranda of buiten. Mogelijks een wifi versterker kan dit 'probleem' oplossen.

Zeer aan te bevelen als je Toscane in alle facetten wil ervaren!

Zeer aardige ontvangst en zeer behulpzaam, prachtig uitzicht (mooier is er niet) groente uit eigen tuin en zelfgemaakte heerlijke wijn, comfortabel huisje met alle er op en er aan, het ontbreekt werkelijk nergens aan. Kortom, genoten van top locatie in Toscane. En grote dank aan Francesca en Daniele voor alle goede zorgen!

Fantastisch!

Het ontzettend vriendelijke en warme ontvangst, de prachtige tuin met een geweldig uitzicht! Het weer speelde een belangrijke rol. De serre met veel licht maakte het relatief donkere appartement helemaal goed. En de zeer betrokken eigenaren waren echt fantastisch! We hebben genoten!
