Great location for people visiting SCU

Location. I had business at SCU and it location meant I did not have to park at the university... I could just walk over. Saved time.

Booking was unhelpful

Location made it easy to find things to do

Management and booking.com were unhelpful with change requests I tired messaging through the app calling the location even emailing. All very unhelpful From the locations own policies they do not charge a cancellation fee until 48 hrs before the stay. I booked this over a month in advance on booking check out it said they I only had 24hrs to cancel with no fee and within 48 hrs of booking I found out it was an inconvenience to the days that were selected. Booking.com states that the cancellation would be the entire charge of the trip. When I messaged through the app and got no response I called the property and they could not understand what I was asking and could not figure out what I was asking. All I was asking was to change the dates, I did not care if I had to get an upcharge or if it was a week earlier or later in the month. I emailed through booking.com and explained in complete detail. I received no response. Obviously I made it work. I am extremely disappointed in the situation of using booking.com.

Comfortable stay with good value for money

The hotel offers great value for money. The property is new, clean, and well-maintained. Parking is available, and the toiletry amenities are well-prepared. Overall, everything was good and I had a pleasant stay.

There was a small, “cute” roach in my bed, which gave me a bit of a surprise :D

Walkable to SCU, College eats across the street, No frills

With a child at SCU this property is as close to campus as you can get. Technically the campus is less than 100 yards away. So while the hotel is definitely no frills its proximity means one can walk back and forth to campus all day long.... no need to drive and hassle with parking which is always a pain.

So the rooms are clean but on this trip the trash can outside my room was overflowing for the 4 days I was a in residence. It was not attended to. In addition the walk way outside my room has "something" on it. Let's call it oatmeal... although we know it was not oatmeal :-( Again, there through my entire stay, evidence that no one from hotel mgnt. is actually inspecting the property regularly. A forewarning; these rooms are small. Really small, as in no closet, no dresser. SMALL. A bed, a tiny desk... nothing more. Just know what you're getting. Worked for me traveling alone but if there were two of us it would have reminded me of a private hostel room on The Camino.

A once clean well designed and situated hotel is getting a little king in the tooth.

Room was dirty and smelled of cigarettes. Stayed here over a year ago when I found the room clean and pleasant. So returned this time and found the room greatly deteriorated: Long scuff marks along wall next to bed, flecks of debris on sheets that smelled faintly of BO, fan in bathroom broken, floor of bathroom dirty.

Great location & staff was nice. Cool coffee spot right across the street to start the day. They’re remodeling so maybe once that’s done conditions improve. Bars are super close by fun night life. Would return just based off location alone

the location was convenient and in a nice area.

construction going on. and the rooms were dirty. they had obviously not been cleaned. the floor boards and baseboards literally had dirt on them. look liked that had never been cleaned and floors had never been mopped. also stayed for two days and was never offered room service or new towels.

Cut my stay short due to construction zone and dirty room.

The pictures showed it as a retro 60s era motel.

The room was dirty. There was a trash can propping open a sliding barn door to the bathroom that wasn’t installed properly (it wouldn’t stay open). Exposed box springs on the bed that were dirty. And they don’t tell you it’s a construction zone. Half of the motel is under construction. I was trying to work from the room and couldn’t concentrate, giving the sawing and hammering that was a mere 30 feet from my room door. I complained to the person working there and he said construction didn’t start until 9:00am. It was 8:45am when I went to see him and they had been working for about an hour. And his customer service was bad - no empathy for the work zone noise - it was “my problem” to deal with. We only stayed there 1 night out of 3 that we booked. I also complained to Booking.com and requested a refund, which apparently is at the discretion of the motel to give. Needless to say, no refund has been issued. Buyer beware. DO NOT STAY HERE - a waste of your money!!
