We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful VRBO! It is in the most gorgeous location, on the beach, with amazing snorkeling right outside our door as was advertised. The grounds were huge and beautiful, and we could play outdoor games, lounge on hammocks and watch the sunset. The kitchen was huge and well-stocked, and we bought fresh produce, tortillas, fish and seafood from local markets and cooked all our meals together which was really fun! We spent our evenings in the huge, screened-in porch, playing games and hanging out. Each of us had our own very comfortable and spacious bedroom. Air conditioning worked great. Our host, Amy, was so helpful, showing us the best snorkeling spots and giving us great tips and directions about how and were to find what we needed. She even went out of her way to find flippers for my husband. I can’t imagine a better place to spend a family vacation, and we all want to go back - ASAP! Its a bit of a drive to get there, but was an easy drive, and we were so happy to get away from the touristy areas and to spend the bulk of our vacation in this tranquil and incredibly beautiful piece of heaven. We highly recommend Amy’s place, you won’t regret it!

Great location with great property owner. You feel like you are on a deserted island. However you must check ahead for weather and Sargasso. A heavy storm knocked out our electricity. It could put a damper on your vacation so it is important it

If you seek peace, tranquility and privacy in your vacations, this spacious, & beautiful Spanish style home is for you. Coral sand, coconut palms and the ocean are your back yard. Beautiful foliage adorns the front as well. My party of 3 couples, were able to comfortably relax, cook and mingle in paradise.
Amy, or host, is a lovely person, was very accommodating, helped us prepare for our stay and showed us some snorkeling right off our playa. We saw spotted eagle rays, eels, healthy corals and many fish right there!
If you need a place to eat, the Mayan Garden Resturant is just a quick walk up the beach. A small place with authentic local food hit the spot when we did not want to cook. The fresh mango margaritas and ceviche were delicious!
Being close to Mahahual enabled us to book a snorkel tour to Banco Chinchorro, a pristine atoll reef with the most amazing underwater life I've ever seen!
We also took a day trip to Bacalar, Lagoon of 7 Colors, which is a fun little town for food and shopping with amazing lagoons and canals.
This house is just enough out of the way but with access to explore. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again!
