Geluksfontein Private Game Farm

We spent just one night at Geluksfontein Private Game Farm, not quite knowing what to expect, but what a lovely surprise! We received such a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. What makes this place special is how relaxed and unpretentious it is. It's not a fancy, five-star lodge, and that's part of its charm. It's simple, comfortable and somewhere you can genuinely switch off without worrying about everything being too precious. I think it would be especially lovely for families wanting a weekend away together. There's a large enclosed garden where the children can run around, a small pool that's perfect for cooling off, a pool table, table tennis and plenty of places to sit and relax. There's also a huge dining table for family meals and lovely braai areas. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner around the fire, which was one of the highlights of our stay. We went on a game drive and saw plenty of antelope and zebra, and the following morning we took a walk and spotted more wildlife. There's something so special about being out in the bushveld, surrounded by nature. If you're looking for luxury and all the frills, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you want a comfortable, easy-going getaway where families can spend time together, children can be children and nobody has to worry about making a bit of noise or mess, it's ideal.

The owners did an amazing job at making us feel at home and did extra effort to make our stay great! They even set out a beautiful picnic arrangement upon request and it looked beautiful! The hosts are wonderful people.
