The Coral Cottage

Beautifully restored cottage in a stunning location. Inside everything was well designed and finished to a high spec. Lovely views from the dining room. Plenty of outside space too.

The welcome felt very cold - not even a point of milk in the fridge or a pack of biscuits. The lighting was very stark - needed a couple of lamps as the spotlights weren’t adjustable. An ancient CD player was the only entertainment and we certainly don’t carry CDs these days. Fiddle and Bow also recommended their own restaurant which felt overly commercial. A more balanced set of recommendations would have felt fairer.

It is a beautiful cosy home away from home

Nothing

A very pretty modernised cottage with lots of tasteful touches

Unfortunately, despite the attention to decorative detail ,some very basic issues seem to have been overlooked: It took a text from us to locate the iron & ironing board which is located in the shed outside and the cover was too dirty to be used without an additional covering. The washing machine worked but an Out of order notice on the Dryer directed us to yet another shed housing laundry facilities shared between 3 cottages. The cooker/oven was great but the worn condition of frying pans made them impossible to use. There were no dishes of a suitable size for microwave use.
