I enjoyed one night at the Hill B&B and my arrival was instantly welcoming and friendly by Alan & Sue who were perfect hosts. The interior was immaculate and cosy and felt truly like a home-from-home. Middleton-in-Teesdale has a certain peaceful charm and it is no wonder why Alan & Sue wanted to base themselves here. On Hill Terrace just minutes from the Water Fountain in the centre of the town - well placed for walkers on the Pennine Way or for other travellers. I was ending my 7 day section of AW's Pennine Journey and the Hill B&B was a great end of my walk.
I had Room 7 but I experienced a slight problem with the en-suite shower room which when using the shower made the bedroom quite cold with the fan setting. Perhaps this could be checked. There was a draught which gave me a cold night in bed.

We felt like at home. Breakfast was amazing, all cooked fresh to order with toast and fresh coffee and absolutely delicious! Sue, Alan (the hosts) and Wilf (their dog) were absolutely amazing. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable.
Shops and pubs are in the nearest neighborhood.
