"The location was excellent, very close to Durham city centre, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Parking for one car was on the driveway at the front of the house."

Shower was really good. Great water pressure. Location is lovely, nice views, peaceful. Heating worked well. Bedding and towels clean.
Mattress in rear bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. Needs a mattress topper (or new mattress).
Kitchen, pots and pans and utensils dirty with food residue, we had to wash everything before we could use it. Stairs are dangerous. Bottom one is barely attached. Place needs a complete deep clean.

Appreciate luke stays for their professionalism. They were in constant touch when ever needed. It was easy to collect keys from the lock box. Property was made ready for us to enjoy our stay. Excellent location. Neighbourhood was good and peaceful.
Though we liked the property, it would have been good if the property management had checked the kitchen area. Cutlery in particular were dirty and unclean.

The location was excellent, very close to Durham city centre, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Parking for one car was on the driveway at the front of the house.
The listing stated that there was a dishwasher, but there wasn't one. This didn't matter to us as there were only two of us and we only had breakfast at the property, but if the place had been booked for 5 people who were expecting this, they would have been disappointed. Kitchen facilities were good, but there was only 4 chairs for the dining table in the kitchen and only 1 breakfast/soup bowl, which again would not be good for a party of 5.

My Brother, partner and I loved having our own space during a weekend visiting Durham/Newcastle, primarily for the football. Short taxi/bus journey to Durham.
Household furnishings/items very basic. For example minimal furniture (makes it feels spacious), and a little 'cheap and cheerful'. TV no channels, we had to use laptop via HDMI to watch BBC Iplayer/NFL. Bathroom VERY chilly in January.

The property was not cleaned prior to our arrival. This is deeply disappointed considering we have just been through a pandemic.

The property is in a lovely spot - and it is bright and roomy. The beds were comfortable. It was nicely decorated in a modern style and the wi-fi was good.
There were a couple of issues with housekeeping which have been raised directly and hopefully won't continue so I won't labour on those. Generally there was a lack of attention to detail - eg. utensils and saucepans really not up to scratch for self catering : lack of guidance on how to use the heating system (NOT a 'nest' system just needing a dial turned - as described in the accom instructions upon booking) : no sponge/cloth for washing up/wiping down surfaces : toilet seat is rickety and no blind on the bathroom window.

Cottage was lovely, very comfortable and clean and in a truly stunning location.
The overload of emails in the lead up and after the stay was a bit much.

Very tastefully decorated. Simple and uncluttered. Wonderful shower and lots of hot water. Good size fridge freezer and plenty of storage for food in utility. Very nice washing machine.
No dishwasher. No washing up bowl or drainer. Only four chairs around dinner table (property sleeps five). And the sofa in living room wasn't comfortable.

The cottage is very clean and tidy. The beds are comfy. Stylish decor. It's also light and spacious. Good communication. It's in a scenic and quiet place.

It was a lovely clean house with plenty of room and facilities for us all. Was well stocked with essentials such as loo roll and washing up liquid too. The location was handy for Durham and Beamish.
The toilet door handle was not attached but we managed and have been advised this will be fixed. It could do with some outdoor seating and a few extra pillows. The tv was annoying as we couldn’t manage to watch any live tv but again we managed.
