The location was excellent.
cleanliness could have been better, dishwasher wasn’t working and was uncleaned for previous guests and the oven was extremely slow at cooking food due to potential loose seal on oven. Downstairs toilet cistern doesn’t work properly.

The double bed on the 2nd floor very squeaky

Very comfortable and well set out.
Location excellent
Showers lovely and warm.
Couch comfortable but a bit low.
Step in to living room needs warning tape on the floor as a few of us didnt notice it above the door and tripped down it. As we were lucky with weather a fan would of been useful. Double bed in first floor room mattress needs de fuzzing as you can feel through the lumps through the sheets.

The location was very central. The kids enjoyed the arcade game on the top floor. The bedding and towels were pristine!
The worst thing had to be the lighting! Everywhere had really bright harsh lights and no lamps. There is a sensor lighting system running in the hallways on each floor which was extremely annoying - imagine getting up for a middle of the night pee and being absolutely dazzled and blinded! Also not great for my son who went to bed earlier than everyone then was woken constantly as everyone else went to bed as the lights kept coming on!!! Whoever thought it was a good idea has obviously never had to stay there!!!
The place was absolutely filthy!!!There was a nappy under one of the beds and a pair of mans pants with a pad in one of the drawers. Cobwebs everywhere and kitchen was dirty and oily. They definitely need to sack the cleaner!
There were only 3 forks!! Not great when you have 6-8 people staying there!
The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable! My husband and I swapped into the single beds in hope they would be better but they were just as bad.
There were staples coming up through carpet on the stairs. Both my son and I ended up with cuts on our toes.
The location was great but not if you want to be able to open the windows at night! The noise coming up from the pubs was very loud - went on until 3am in the morning!

Lounge smelled of dogs so didn’t use.

central location but a lot of noise from near by pubs. spotlessly clean
very basic. no mirrors in bedrooms. no bedside lights. felt very bare. the outside was quite off putting. Unlit alley full of bins and rubbish. other lanes and yards in Whitby are clean, painted and welcoming. this could be the same.

Great location : it was just a three-minute walk from Whitby train station.
The standard of cleanliness:
- the bathrooms and beddings are clean (btw, I am not a clean freak)
- the kitchen is acceptable
- the living room needs thorough cleaning
- I thought the leather sofa in the living room comes from a thrift shop
The main door lock : there are 2 locks on the entrance door from inside and neither of them works. You basically just closed the door and that's it.
Right outisde the entrance of the flat are big waste/recycle bins

Accommodation is spacious and dog friendly. It has plenty of space for our travel group that is made of 5 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. The property is also very pet friendly and doesn't charge extra for pets. The location is fantastic, close to everything. Particularly helpful when you are travelling with younger children who need to rest very often. It takes minutes to bring them back to the accommodation during the day for a nap.
By no mean a bad point. It's more a practical accommodation than a luxurious accommodation.

The house was lovely, so much space for all of us, very quirky too! The position of it in the centre of Whitby was fabulous. However, there is no parking so you need to use a public car park, if you arrived at a busy time you might not get a space.
Surprisingly, there was no frying pan, no good for a full English or steak! It would have been good to have lamps in the bedrooms so you can read without having to get out of bed!

cool, clean, well appointed and great location
no parking and beds a bit soft for our preference

Comfy beds, and large comfortable sitting room. Lots of bathrooms and loos. The 'den' in the attic space is a great idea.
Upkeep of the exterior of the property was not great. Concerns about lack of restrictor on window of 1st floor double bedroom- a child ( or a curious dog) could easily fall out. With two pianists in the group, the piano was, frankly, awful - it wasn't even that attractive! Some felt that the lack of pictures etc made for a slightly impersonal (unfinished?) atmosphere through the house.
