Quirky stay.

Brilliant location and a quirky property

Mattress very soft. Noisy neighbours walking around upstairs during the night. Annoying emergency light over bed. Despite this, still had a great stay at a great property.

The property was in an ideal location, very clean, like a home from home, the property owners were very easy to contact, lovely people to talk to and helpful. Parking included which took stress out of finding somewhere to park. Absolutely everything needed was supplied, very quiet. Would not hesitate to stay again. Absolutely perfect.

A quirky gem

The location was excellent, with easy access to everywhere in Whitby. It was cosy and quirky, a wonderful combination. It was beautifully decorated with a seaside theme. The kitchen was kitted out with excellent facilities.

I felt the bathroom was a major compromise. It's a wet room, and everything really does get wet! You couldn't keep any toiletries in there which made it difficult when there wasn't much space in the kitchen to store anything either! Even the loo roll would get wet. It took a long time to dry it all back out even with the heated floor on, fan and towel dryer. It also meant it smelled strongly of damp.

Snug and comfortable apartment in an excellent location

Lovely warm and comfortable small apartment in an excellent location. Very quiet despite its central location. Spotless (except for the shower curtain...)

Be aware that parking is a short distance away although a parking permit is provided. The only disappointment with the facilities was the mouldy shower curtain. It would be better without one at all than the one that's there especially as everything else was spotlessly clean.

Location is really central and the house is super clean. Bed was comfy, a perfect place to rest after a day of sight seeing!

The bathroom is really small and difficult to navigate having a shower without getting water all over the floor. Not really a massive issue and can’t really be helped due to the nature of the building.

Location was excellent right in the centre, property was very cozy and clean, communication from host was good. Parking permit in flat to allow parking in nearby carpark was a nice bonus.

good location. quiet with it being opposite a church but close to shops and cafes. clean with a nice living space

steps up to property and also to the bed may be difficult for some. bed was a double with frame so a squeeze for a taller person to sleep. could do with a bigger mirror as we were visiting for goth weekend with costumes and makeup

A really beautiful, cosy little place in a beautiful location.

The location was excellent, being right in the heart of Whitby. The Nutshell is really cosy and perfect for two people. Like everywhere in the UK at the moment, it was expensive but not extortionate. Everything was really clean and tidy. The host was really helpful with directions to the car park.

Only that there is no WiFi - it’s advertised as such, but a lot of people will just expect it these days.

A very enjoyable holiday helped by an apartment that was perfect as a base to explore from.

The location was great for the whole of Whitby, a short walk from the main attractions. Having the parking permit was a huge bonus that we hadn't realised was available. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

A cosy cottage in a brilliant location.

Before arriving, the owner contacted me by phone and gave a nice run-through of how to find the property, get keys, unload/load, use property etc and was really helpful. The property itself is perfectly situated for most local amenities, and is a stone's throw from Sherlock's coffee (and extraordinary cake) shop!!
