Beautiful place with charm & care

No parking at the property

An absolutely beautiful place to stay which I cannot fault. Marina was incredibly welcoming giving us the history of the building, the recent renovation and the answering any and all questions asked. I also can't thank Marina enough for catering to suit my specific dietary requirements which made breakfast each morning something to look forward to. The B&B is roughly a 10-15 minute walk from the Tremezzo ferry, walking either fully by road or through a cobbled pathway. It's in a quiet area of the town which added to the peacefulness of the entire stay. I really hope we can return one day. Thank you to Marina and the staff at Casa Lumaca for such a lovely stay.

This is a stunning and historic building that has been beautifully brought back to life. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. We would recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation.

The room was very small, certainly for the price. There’s little storage space for your stuff & luggage. Also the room was cold as the heater automatically turned off during the night. The shutters didn’t close and there are no curtains so the sunlight wakes you up in the morning. Free parking isn’t guaranteed as it’s dependent on availability at a nearby public parking space. The hostess wasn’t unfriendly per se but did have a somewhat distant/cold attitude about her, it’s hard to explain. You really feel like you’re a guest in her house rather than a guest at a hotel. Ultimately the value for money just wasn’t great - while the property is nice and has some clear positives the price was just too high for what you get (especially when you consider it was off-season)
