Beutiful scenery

The fact its right on the water was the highlight offering a magical view, its worth the extra money to get a full lake view (only hotel in Tremezzo right on the lake no road) Tremezzo is magical so peaceful we will be back. The breakfast area was also beautiful with very attentive staff

The only we didnt like (a small thing) was that the smart TV controller (for netflix youtube etc) is not in the room on arrival (has to be requested from reception) we didn’t realise this had to be requested and its the first time i have seen this it did not make sense to us 😂 🤷‍♂️

Lakeside hotel with amazing views and food & wine, great base to access Bellagio

La Darsena is a hotel & restaurant along the road on the western side of Lake Como. It is very well situated because it has amazing views of the lake. It is a simple hotel but very comfortable and the staff were all friendly. The restaurant is a gastronomic restaurant with absolutely delicious food - their unique and different take on the tiramisu is highly-recommended, among others. They also have an excellent wine list with decent prices (I recommend the Valpolicella and Lugana DOC Vigneto Massoni). This hotel is near Tremezzo, where you can take a smaller ferry to Bellagio, but you can also walk a bit further to Cadenabbia (about 15-20min) to take the other more frequent ferry. It takes about 15min on the ferry from Cadenabbia to Bellagio. It is easy to have this hotel as a base and do a day trip to Bellagio rather than stay in often-crowded Bellagio. We will definitely stay here again!

Such a beautiful hotel, in an amazing location with fabulous staff! We especially loved sitting on the balcony having the beautiful breakfast! Isabella was so nice and friendly, thank you for always being so kind! The restaurant for dinner was amazing with fabulous food, service and vibes! It’s very convenient to the ferry, rooms are big, bathroom is big and everything is very clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Boutique hotel so got to know the staff well. All extremely friendly and helpful. Food was exceptional. A fine dining experience. Hotel is located right next to the lake so breakfast and dinner on the terrace was stunning. Would stay here again.

At Breakfast one tall female staff member was rude

Loved the Breakfast Room and we ate twice in the Restaurant food was fantastic. Manager, Chef and his siblings great personalities, the french female waitress was fantastic. We loved our stay and any negatives comments would diminish what was a very enjoyable stay. Would love to stay at one of your other villas.

The location was perfect, and such a novelty being on the lake. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel shampoo smells AMAZING. They buy in good quality products. We had dinner at the restaurant on the first night and managed to get a terrace seat. The food was 10/10.

I was expecting a quiet room for the money.

Restaurant was inviting with views of Lago di Como both at dinner and breakfasts. Staff was very helpful at check-in and we appreciated their help.

As a Genius traveller with highest rating, I would expect a better room location. We couldn't open the window nor the "balcony" as the main road was right outside with traffic 24/7.

Lake Como getaway

Hotel is beautifully positioned on the lake. Convenience of restaurant for dinner.

The main road passes right in the front of the hotel so there is a lot of traffic noise if you don't have a room facing the lake. Fortunately we were able to change rooms which made a big difference

Gorgeous views, excellent location and AMAZING STAFF!

The location is perfect. There is an amazing public park right next to the hotel where you can go into lake como and sunbathe. There is also a boat transport stop a quick 5 min walk from the hotel. The view of the restaurant is perfect and the breakfast offered is well served with great and tasty coffee served. The rooms are spacious, with blackout curtains and the shower is great. There is an elevator and the staff were super accommodating with us when arriving later because of traffic. The staff is all very friendly and speaks English well!

There seems to be a small issue with the AC during the night. We stayed for 2 nights and it seems the AC gets "tired" around 1/2 am and the room gets a bit warm in the summer (around 28-30 celsius when we visited). The AC does go back to working and we would wake up in a fresh room.

Exception location with fantastic staff. I really thought the location near the ferry made this hotel the ideal spot to explore the villages and see the beautiful Villas with their gardens

Tired Property

This hotel is near the ferry stop for Tremezzo and within walking distance of restaurants and Villa Carlotta. There is a parking spot just out front to unload your baggage which is very helpful and then you move the car to a garage a few blocks away which is a little bit of a pain, but to be expected in this busy/crowded area. We had dinner on the terrace and the view was beautiful.

The rooms are very outdated and the beds are hard as a rock. Furnishings are older and overall just feel worn out. We were booked for 2 nights and left after one night to move on to our next destination rather than stay another night here. Dinner was very rushed - we were done with our entire meal in about 45-50 minutes. We asked for local/regional wine to accompany our meal and they suggested California wines. Basic wines.

Good location but not for pets.

The hotel was situated overlooking the lake which was lovely. There was a restaurant within the hotel which was buzzing and lively and the hotel very kindly permitted us to bring our dog with us. The waiting staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. Food was good overall although I was a little bewildered and disappointed by my choice of main course, fillet of turbot which arrived in a ‘crackly boil in the bag’ type of presentation. Not what I was expecting from what appeared to be a very sought after local restaurant. The room was very clean but fairly basic although the view compensated and we had a good breakfast with lake glimpses the following morning.

The parking was difficult although we did eventually manage to park in one of the allocated spaces. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room which we like.( No complimentary water either). The hotel was on a busy road, some cars driving very fast along this narrow stretch of road. Our dog was very nervous because of this and although the hotel is pet friendly it was stressful walking her from the hotel. There was a small green area nearby but for a longer stay finding somewhere to walk her would have been challenging. Although this hotel was pet friendly, sadly it didn’t suit us and our pet, but it was manageable for a one night stay.

Excellent location near the foot ferry and 15 min walk from larger car ferry. Breakfast on veranda overlooking the lake just superb. Rooms large & roomy and staff v friendly. Well done.
