Great location, stunning lake views and friendly people

The location is FANTASTIC!! Probably the best you’ll find in the area. Tremezzo is quiet, easily accessible, and offers stunning views of the lake. The hotel is just a few steps from the “Tremezzo” ferry station, and you can also walk to the “Cadenabbia” station in about 20 minutes, which operates until late. The hotel itself is a classic 3-star stay and offers good value for money. Rooms with a lake view are absolutely worth it. Waking up and going to sleep with that view from your balcony is unforgettable. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. The rooms are simple but have all the essentials, and the air conditioning works well. We had a wonderful time! I think we will return there.

The hotel is decent. A solid 3-star option. Don’t expect too much (except the fatastic view and location) It’s quite old, and some rooms are not well maintained. For example, the ceiling fan might make noise, and the furniture can feel dated. They’ve started refurbishing the place but haven’t finished yet, so you might end up in one of the older rooms. The food at the hotel restaurant is okay but nothing special or particularly tasty, so I wouldn’t recommend adding meals to your stay. That said, we still had a very good time there despite these minor issues.

Great hotel for the price! Front desk staff get an A++!

The staff was so accommodating in every way! The people working there really make an effort to make sure you enjoy your time in Tremezzo. We didn’t like how small our original room was and they really worked hard to get us an upgrade. You want a balcony with a lake view if you can get it!

The property and hotel are older and showing their age - all the steps are difficult with a lot of luggage and lifts are small - pack light. The outside patio and pool need a refresh

Location is excellent - very close to ferry stops. Had balcony room with lake views. The views were absolutely heavenly - they made the holiday for us. Big windows and doors onto the balcony - so light and panoramic views of the lake and Ballagio. Could lie in bed and see the lake. Very attractive spacious bar area - with excellent cocktails. Breakfast good - usual choices you would expect.

The bedroom, bathroom very jaded and in need of modernisation. Shower very small and water temperature variable. Swimming pool only opened at 10am and closed at 6pm - so no time to use it when going for days out. Pool area needs upgrading and thorough clean. Hotel had big coach parties predominantly older clientele - which could be a positive to some and negative to others. Only stayed at hotel once for dinner - the set menu - the food was excessively salty - would not risk it again.

Incredible views and fantastic staff!

Incredible Location & a great place to base yourself to explore the towns around Como while avoiding busy Como city. My room was very small and I didn't book a view. However the view from the restaurant at breakfast more than made up for it! The staff were excellent, especially the barista at breakfast who remembers your name and makes great coffee every morning. Also the bar staff downstairs were fantastic. A short walk to see the famous Hotel Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta. And the ferry stop is literally across the road from the hotel and there is a bus stop outside (but be warned they're never on time). Very easy to buy a ticket at the ferry stop to explore the other towns on the lake. Some great little restaurants a short walk away. I recommend Vittoria 1894 (keep walking past Hotel Tremezzo). Getting there - I Highly recommend having a car/taxi to get to this hotel if you're staying up in the mid-lake area as I found the public transport extremely unreliable (although I was travelling at the peak of the busy summer, the busses were sometimes over an hour late, sometimes too full to fit more passengers and the ferry lines to leave Como were also hours long and often sold out).

It is unacceptable not to inform that you have only 4 parking lots, for a whole hotel. And then, you don’t know wich is the application for the parking. We were 3 persons, in a triple room, you give us only 2 towels.

Mixed feelings

So I have a mixed review. My room was perfect. The cleaning lady would put an extra touch on my young son’s bed and put his special blanket and Pokémon placed on top. My room was clean and everything worked fine. But we did not travel alone. The other room was not that great. The ferry port is right in front but it doesn’t run all night. The one called Candenabia runs til late and is a 20 minute walk to the hotel.

So the other room the AC was busted. They brought fans. They offered a room that smelled like smoke so the other members of my group declined it and asked for a different room. They were not accommodating - said we didn’t pay for a higher level room so therefore they couldn’t change their room. So the rest of my Group slept without AC the entire stay. There was no compensation for this either. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the Air Conditioning. The pool was ok, though it had a dark film around where the water line would have been.

Great location and lake views on a budget.

Beautiful lake views from this property. The place was clean and had basic amenities for a comfortable stay. It is right opposite the Tremezzo ferry stop making it a easy journey once we arrived on land.

Some of the reception staff were not friendly, and perhaps they were training a new staff member as the process for check in was quite laborious.

Good location viewing the lake, super calm area.

The location is amazing to have a calm stay, super quiet with restaurants around. The room view was directly to the lake and this was the highlight of my stay.

For the price for the weekend, I expected more. The location and the view was the only highlight, but overall that is what you have paid for. Besides, the swimming pool is small and in the other side so all the other buildings could have a vision there.

The Hotel was in an ideal spot, right next to the ferry and surrounded by good restaurants! We came hoping for sunny days but we had 5 days of rain, but because of the hotels location we still had an absolutely great time.

Room was a bit dated, as was the bathroom- but for a three star hotel was very well kept and really clean. Air conditioning didn’t work so room was very warm.

Very expensive view

Views Able to check in at 1pm

Old, many things broken or not working or not available. Very expensive for a frustrating, hot and noisy night. No point raising any issues with staff bec they would not have been able to fix the shutters, add power points to charge devices (only 1 available), fix the poor internet, add a power point for the tv that sits there like an empty frame, move the bathroom mirror to allow the one other power point in the room to be used or fix the old air con unit which blows out semi cool air even when set at 17C. The corner room was very hot and stuffy on a 20C day. Could not leave open whilst not there, but we did have it open until around 1am to cool down the place. Tried to further cool it down with air con, but found out it doesn’t cool much. The young staff in reception, not very friendly or receptive upon my arrival, but efficient enough to get me the room. You’ll need earplugs as it is on a main rd and shutters don’t work.

The location of the hotel is very good, accessible to bus stop and ferry. Also a lot of restaurants nearby. Our bedroom has a balcony with the view of the lake which is the best part of the stay.

The downside of our stay is the aircon. We stayed August and weather was too hot. Aircon is not strong and not able to change the setting.

Beautiful location but terrible hotel

The position was amazing

Booking said parking available. Arrived to be told to go 500m up to road and find public parking. There was a small parking lot with no parking available. The hotel lobby is messy and old. Signs in the lift have peeling tape. The room is sparce and clinical. The bed wasn't made. There was just a sheet folded on the bed. When we asked them to make the bed they have us a duvet and another sheet to use. No duvet cover which is not hygienic at all. The aircon didn't work and switched off thw whole night. I would never recommend this place. The night before I paid half as much in another town for a much better experience. There are no plug points to charge phones. I had to move the furniture.

It’s one of those old italian overpriced hotels. Everything in the room is old (albeit clean). The AC didn’t work. There’s something else about it, we were the only guests in the entire hotel younger than 60 (we’re 30), so we felt out of our place a bit :D

Location is amazing- right next to the ferry terminal and bus stop. Plenary of restaurants, shops, convenience stores, sightseeing within few minutes walk. View of the lake is stunning! The pool is secluded and surrounded by greenery. Very charming. The hotel was just remodeled and the interior and the rooms were very nice. Ours had wa balcony with lake view, really spacious with good size bathroom with a tub.

The air conditioning wasn’t working properly and it was very hot during our stay.
