Good Times Edinburgh Elm Row City Centre Apartment

It’s was spotlessly clean. The temperature (Which is pre-set) was just fine. Yes the accommodation is compact but for a weekend city break it is more than fine. We loved it and would stay there again. I read all the reviews and laughed at some moaning about the most minor of non-issues.

Yes, the shower gets the floor wet but there are sliders provided, yes I couldn’t find a tea spoon BUT they are minor things, for a city break where you are hardly there. My main concern is cleanliness and it Was Spotless. Yes you have pay a security deposit but you get that straight back. The only flaff was having to send proof of ID but that was a 5 min distraction only

Good place and recommended.

The placement of the Bond was not clear for me and I have travelled a lot. But refunded promptly.

Very good location, lovely décor, and more than enough kitchen facilities.

The bed is very narrow, two people don’t sleep well, and it’s also short. The shower is in the middle of the bathroom, so when you shower everything gets wet, but for a couple of days it’s not a big inconvenience.

- very well located - nice and cosy - easy to get in with keys in lockbox

- communication had some issues (maybe the language barrier) - to adjust the heating you have to contact the owner, you cannot manage it yourself in the apartment - damage deposit required to transfer to an unknown company account - you don't get the entire apartment, there are locked doors and the owner's stuff (including a locked washing machine), which is slightly misleading - the damage deposit was transferred back, however with a smaller amount deducted, without comment Overall it wasn't bad, but I'd think twice to go through again the above. OK for a short stay.
