Home away from home at Astir of Naxos

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made our family feel like their own and couldn't do more for us. They went above and beyond to make my dad feel special for his 70th birthday. The breakfast was good and more than we expected, the hotel was spotless. Cleaned so well. The pool was huge too with plenty of sunbeds and very comfortable. Location wise brilliant, so close and just a 5 min walk to the beach and 15 yo the town.

Good location. Close to the beach, which is full of cats. Walking distance to town (15-20 mins) and the port (under 30 mins). Friendly and helpful owner.

Our rooms were not ready at 3pm. About 20 mins late. Our rooms were only made up after 3pm on the second day so we could not relax in them that afternoon. The beds are old. They did not restock water at all. 2 bottle for 3 nights per room. They did not restock coffee on the second day.

Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed

I loved this hotel, the staff are so lovely and helpful. On arrival the room config just wasn’t the best for us and with any problem the man showered us another room that was available that was perfect. The breakfast is made with love and it changed every day. A great mix of classics and Greek specialties. The lady who works on breakfast is such an asset to this hotel. Honestly, you could tell that she takes great pride in her service.

Relaxing stay at a gorgeous locations.

Beautiful accommodations in a quiet, yet connected, location. Close, but not too close, to the center. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They helped our friends find a doctor and my mom and dad to find a church service. They were super responsive to any issues and provided lots of information about the area. The breakfast was good too!

Rooms were a little tight for four people, but we managed.

Friendly staff and pleasant hotel

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful and the pool was a hit with the kids with how deep it was! The breakfast had a good variety. The room was fine for us staying for 2 nights however I don’t think we would have been very comfortable as it didn’t have a lot of space for 4 people in the room. The hotel was nice and close to the beach, multiple supermarkets and the centre too!

Think some areas are in need of updating/ fixing up a little bit!

Wonderful pool, beautiful esthetic, very clean, great food, comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff.

Pool hours as the pool didn’t open till 11am which is late when you have young kids.

The staff were wonderful, kind, helpful and very hospitable. The pool Is nice. The breakfast good. The location is close to beach but not as close to town as we hoped for. Clearly family owned and they spend a lot of time taking care of guests. The Greek warmth is most heartily felt by the guests. The beds were good and the room was clean.

The rooms need serious renovation, specially the bathrooms. Every time you take a shower the entire bathroom floods. The set up for the shower, hand to over head is not ideal and did not work. Furniture in the room is dated.

Everything was PERFECT! Eva the owner with her daughter are AMAZING persons! They really care with your staying. The hotel is super good located and super clean! The breakfast fresh and tasty! We have absolutely nothing to complain! Would comeback million times!

THE best complimentary breakfast I've ever had...and the cleanest swimming pool, too! The owners treated us like family. This was my second visit to Naxos and would recommend Astir to everyone...an awesome stay !

Location is quite nice. Just out of the city in a side street, so a very quiet place. At the same time, very easy to walk to the city or beach.

The fridge in our room made very annoying sounds. In addition the bathroom ventilation was very loud as well. The bed did not feel very comfortable, it sinks too much in the middle. The breakfast is a bit too basic from what I would expect from a hotel this size. In general the hotel felt rather outdated and is really in need of some modernization. With some modernization, this could easily be an amazing hotel.

Good choice at breakfast. Quiet comfortable room, good bed. Well situated, a couple of minutes walk to beach, and a couple from the "cinema" bus stop (route #1). Nice swimming pool. Very friendly helpful staff, with v good English.

We really enjoyed my time here in Astir: the staff was really welcoming and friendly, always giving suggestions and useful information that could make my holiday a beautiful experience. Maria was very warm and provided a fantastic customer service. We really appreciate also the kindness of the girls at the reception. What we also appreciate of the hotel was the room, always tidy and very comfortable. The swimming pool was a great service that is provided and is a good place where you can relax after a day at the beach (that is only 5 min walk) or around the island. the breakfast was good and my global experience at the hotel was great!

Fantastic breakfast, facility is beautiful. Nice pool. Staff(Maria and her mom-owner) were very helpful and kind. They recommended restaurants/reservations (always spot on) places to visit and took great care of us. I would book the hotel again. Naxos is a gem of an island with really good food and a laid back vibe.

Our ‘family’ room was too small for 4 people. We had barely enough room to move around the beds. In retrospect booking should have suggested 2 rooms as this was a double crammed with 2 additional beds. We had no room for one medium suitcase each. I would have loved to give this hotel 5* but took one away for the size of the room.

Really kind and friendly staff, pool was great and it is well placed to head into town and the beach but also quiet. Rooms were spacious and clean and the balconies were very nice.

Wifi signal wasn't amazing (e.g. for video calls), but for most other things it was fine

Excellent and attentive service ! Nothing was too much trouble . Great location . Good breakfast spread . Plus they accept Am Ex . Cannot recommend it high enough !
